Mikey Moore

I’ve heard plenty of our fans berating and slagging off our young players. Regardless of the league being lost or not, that’s not the “character building” they need at this time in their careers.
Few times I've been this season I feel it's been the opposite and asking for Moore to come on.

That's fine btw

But then don't have him and gray starting in the two toughest away days if that's what is happening.

People have questioned for past couple of months why Moore isn't getting minutes. Last night showed exactly why, the same reason that has previously been said and some want to ignore - he's not ready. That's not a slant on the kid, he's 17. He is talented and come through the Spurs system and because of this as usual people are overhyping him and he needs to walk before he can run.

We are in agreement that he needs a loan in the Championship, he like previous young players here will be better for it....

How do you become ready if you are not played?
Over hyping him? We just want to give him the best chance of realising his potential.

Not sure thats the case, anyone who has seen him in the pro ranks spoke of a lad who is supremely talented and his talents were better than the senior ranks even in the "Youth" ranks.

Wanting to see him out of excitement, especially in a season where the manager has written off the league is hardly "overhype"

I would be cautious on both sides to make quick judgements too, I mean one game does not define a players potential, so jumping up and down about how bad he was yesterday doesn't tell a full story either, no more than when he came on in the EL and was excellent earlier in the season.

I would say let people be and let them be excited about the potential of youth, it doesn't always have to be met with sour notes

I for one hold high hopes for the lad and can't wait to see what his career brings
We're going round in circles here mate, you keep reverting back to how talented he is and no one is questioning that. It's not based off one game, he's featured fifteen times this season and the assessment has been largely the same.

Hes a talented boy who needs to go and get some men's football experience. The original post and point was that hes not ready for PL football, either you agree with it or don't - either way it's cool and not really worth the exchange you're drawing me into here....

We have shunted him out to the right too often for my liking
He is left or central
That’s his position
He is strong enough IMO but most players struggle on their wrong side
Sonny and richarlison on the right are weak also

Central for me, give him a free reign and also the ability to get his touches in. For me that's why yesterday was poor, because we didn't get his involvement in either.

He isn't a winger, no chance

Not seen enough centrally at this level yet
But with Luca Barnett coming through who plays in the same roles both will give us options soon
Do you class eze as a winger because the way Moore plays for me he is more like Eze style wise (I know so far for the first team we have seen him do the dribble thing more)

I have seen Eze in close quarters a few times and his starting position isn't his position, he 100% gets a floating role based on his ability

No one is writing him off at all its just clear as day that he is not ready to play in the Premiership yet.
