I wanted us to get him before the Eze and MGW plays.Simons was hardly an unknown prospect.

Totally fair for me. RDZ comes in and has a downbeat, injured squad and gets us to something like the 6th best form side in the league. We have a good summer and have to navigate 38 games plus domestic cups whilst rivals have a full capacity season.
As you say, RDZ doesn't come in and declare victory because he made an incremental improvement on the last 2 league finishes. He will be targeting a CL place and of course that means minimally 5th in the current setup. What's the point of him thinking any other way.
What will be interesting is the first League Cup line-up that takes the field in his early games as manager. Frank got a pass and got Donny Rovers. Ange decided to make 8 changes and went out of the cup to Fulham. I'm hoping RDZ takes us deep into 2027 in the cups.
I hope we move with a swiftness with this onelooks like we've fixed our wage issue, however i am not optimistic we can beat man U ability to pay.

He had one good month, he'll be too expensive relative to his proven level. He did not have a good season, he had one relatively short period of hot form.does West Ham need to sell?
i thought they were in some financial trouble with the relegation and all
i think we need a somerville more
Mr Jim Ratcliffe might be one of those issuesApparently United has some money issues and want structuring and won't go far. It might be on West Ham vs. player if we push

If he signs with us could be third luckyForgot he has now been relegated with 2 teams, not the best thing to have on your CV when coming to a team who have finished 17th twice in a row
But in all seriousness he is a quality player. Likely this is all to get Man U to hurry up and make their move as his heart is set on them, but it is good we are looking at the likes of him and Tonali - real genuine quality upgrades....

Yes I agree but what he did in that one month was phenomenal considering the circumstances. He was also a very tidy player at Leeds. He had one good month, he'll be too expensive relative to his proven level. He did not have a good season, he had one relatively short period of hot form.
Also that’s not a slant on you @Bishop … just think that we all need a different thought process after years of chasing shadowsYes I agree but what he did in that one month was phenomenal considering the circumstances. He was also a very tidy player at Leeds.
I think he has more than enough in his locker to be a good player for us, should we sign him.
Also my blind faith in whatever RDZ wants then I’m all in. How about we do that this season, back the manager with the players that he wants and feels that he needs, rather than trying to deep dive into every miskick a player has made.
