Labour - the party for scroungers

i dont think the question is - "what is London with the Queen", it's "how do tourists see London WITHOUT the Queen"

I'm against the queen on anti-democratic grounds anyway.

But I will never accept tourist numbers would fall by 1% if we cut her head off! :)

Would you recommend them?

I must say the reports I've read are akin to the male 'rabbit'........and it never has a headache!

I'm still trying to work out what would be easier - convincing the missus to 'service' me or convincing her to clean out my fleshlight.

They're actually one of the only things about Britain that fill me with pride nowadays. They've been a breath of fresh air in the last few years. Prince Charles doing the weather forecast the other day was hilarious.

Blood suckers everyone of them.

As far as the royal family goes it's not so much Mrs Von Battenburg that is the issue, but Phil the Greek, Camilla, Prince Charlie and ANdy and the Duchess of York. What a bunch of oxygen thieves!

I read once that the more people were educated the more likely they were to vote tory, not sure how that worked with me because i have voted for them 5 times as opposed to labour 1.

I split people into 2 camps, firstly we all love money. But the 2 camps are those that want to go out and earn money and those that expect to constantly be given a helping hand all their life. I feel into the first one which is why i never had much time for labour.

Money and education are generally tory supporters ive found too. The ones who were previous labour supporters and come into money and/or worked their way
do change allegiance to tory. Even as new labour, i doubt there was as many the other way - think Blairs smoke salmon socialist persona and cronies managed to convince
the pop to put him in.
working lass vote lab, middle class - tory. How we define middle class in Britain today - maybe that deserves a different thread?

Blood suckers everyone of them.

No-one could ever describe me as a monarchist, but what I do appreciate about the Royals, is the interest in them. In fact, they're one of a very small group of 'things' which people actually find interesting about England, Britain or the UK. There isn't a massive long list of 'things' which - brick weather aside - people across the world would associate the UK with.

This country has enough of a washed-down, confused sense of identity as it is, without having to remove something else which is quintessentially British. There's always been this argument about how much they cost - as if everything in life can only have a value, if it can be expressed in monetary terms. 'Value' goes much further than that and, as I said - I'm no monarchist - but I'd happily keep the Royal Family going for as long as it makes Britain interesting, quirky, eccentric - however you wish to define it.

Remove things like that, and - as a country - you just become boring and nondescript.
