Labour - the party for scroungers

In my opinion, Labour are the party for the unemployable. Not the working or middle class.

I offer up this graphic as evidence:

You can see that areas with relatively low unemployment vote Conservative.

Areas with high unemployment vote Labour.

You see the same across the country. Particularly in Wales and the brick parts of the North (not Leeds)

Liverpool is another brilliant example. Full of feckless, scrounging, dole bludging, work shy c*nts. They vote Labour too.

Labour does not work.

I tend to agree. Despite being fairly liberal in my views, the Labour party prove themselves time and time to be a complete waste of space. I could never vote for them.

i can not see the graphic

i would probably agree though,

For me whenever i see people moaning about the cuts they are always blaming the banks not realising that we lived beyond our means for years, i put these people into the same camp as scroungers.

Just really think people need to wake up to the fact that we are not even tackling the debt and as that keeps going up we are just going to be getting into more and more trouble. I read online over the weekend a few more tories coming out with bold plans about dropping some rights for low paid workers but saying it would get companies more likely to hire again and create jobs.

Seems to me the right of the tory party are feeling a bit more confident again and coming up with some good ideas. If they get rid of cameron and promise us a vote on europe i might just vote for them again...not a millband take vote the two faced tosser.

Hope this dosent sound condescending but is this new information? Hasn't Labour in its traditional form always had far greater unemployed voters and
their support is higher in the poorer urban areas. As far as I know, they have always been the party who fully support a benefit ridden population, encouraging
all to grab what you can from the state.

I read once that the more people were educated the more likely they were to vote tory, not sure how that worked with me because i have voted for them 5 times as opposed to labour 1.

I split people into 2 camps, firstly we all love money. But the 2 camps are those that want to go out and earn money and those that expect to constantly be given a helping hand all their life. I feel into the first one which is why i never had much time for labour.

i would substitute "scrounger" with "deluded" - but totally agree in their current form

this is also a great opportunity for them to re-align themselves into that area the Lib Dems always tried to fill.
make themselves the party of fiscally responsible, progressive socialists - ie, socialism for the good of the country, not just as an excuse to "have nice things even if you are a lazy c?ú"?ú%T"

Yes, but as with the BBC thread, the "right wingers" have been told that we often spout nonsense and gibberish without providing evidence.

I would like to encourage Labour voters (particularly those that pay taxes) to explain why they think voting Labour would be a good idea.

(Given their handling of the economy and that it is clear for all to see that they will not promote real growth.)

Simply get us into more and more debt that we CANNOT afford.

The Conservative party seem to be the best of a bad bunch. But fiscally, they are the ONLY choice.

i don't think there is a party which represents the Working Class anymore

Your right and hootnow said the same the other day. UKIP make a good stab at it but they are mainly middle class. I think the working class need to get into more protest groups, but most protest groups are by middle class people, the students for example were a good example of this.

Most politicians of all major parties do not represent the people anymore, all they are concerned about is getting their noses in the troff.

Here here...do you know how much we subsidise their food and drink every year?!

Crazy

I wish the taxpayer would fund my drinking habit

In an age of Social Networking, surely the people can do something about this.

e.g. If EVERYBODY takes a stand and refuses to pay council tax, they CANNOT and WONT lock up every household in Britain.
