Kyle Walker

The media seems to be working on the basis that this is all about Walker, City and Daniel Levy but the thing we don't really know in all of this is how keen Poch is to sell.

He is in the luxurious position of already having a ready-made quality replacement who also needs more game time so it would be no surprise to discover he covets the £50m or whatever we can get for Walker in order to fund other players of his choice.

It has previously made it clear I believe that whilst the stadium build has already been costed separately there are inevitably limited funds available for large-scale purchases and that therefore we may need to sell before we buy.

Looks like he's either angling for a better contract or gaurntees of more playing time, or both.

Jermaine Jenas said it's about money. That he undersold himself in his last contract talks (which, considering his age, will be his last big deal). Jenas said hearing how much more than him Ryan Bertram earns was the trigger.

If that is the case then we should pay him more by whatever way is appropriate. He has been a loyal servant to the club and is worth it.

A bigger club???

A richer club id agree but having money for 5 seasons really doesn't make a side a bigger club mate. They can't even sell out champions league games
Yes a bigger club ie one that has won trophies in the last twenty years. Walker or any other current player doesnt care that we were good in the 60s compared to a team that are actually winning things during their career....

That makes backburn and leiceter bigger with that logic

Can't say I agree personally

They have won trophies in the last 5 years but that's not a very long Tim

No it's a combination of things they are superior in everything - the clue is in the calibre of player they attract vs us. The biggest clubs attract the biggest players. You ask who's the bigger club to anyone outside this forum and you won't be getting many saying Spurs....

No the richest clubs attract the players because they pay the fees and wages Which in turn builds success

City were in the championship just over 10 years ago.... big clubs don't play 2nd tier football but we have seen clubs from that level have money thrown at them to give them a lift

Yes and City have the money and the success in recent times - we have neither in comparison to them in recent memory which is all any current player is concerned with and are as such a bigger club. Can argue all you want, you'll do well to find many who aren't Spurs fans saying we are a bigger club than City.....

Just asked two united fans and two Everton fans in the pub.... both sets of fans think we're bigger. One even commented imagine if city built a new ground like yours, how empty it would be

I imagine if your not form England you may have a different opinion and if your quote young too

Two Man Utd fans? Ok, I've just asked seven Arsenal fans and they've all said Emirates Marketing Project.....
