Joao Moutinho

In all seriousness we supposedly willing to pay 22mi for him but deal at last minute is scuppered by those nasty 3rd party lads. Porto buy them out and low and behold......we don't bid! Don't take a genius to work it out.

How many clubs want to sell their best players in January?

Chelsea are a creative ball playing central midfielder away from being a real force. AVB identified it with Modric and we wouldn't sell, he tried for Moutinho but for some reason that didn't go through. Lampard is about as creative as they get so when he goes in the summer that will be a position they'll go for.

Also in that article PSG will sign Ronaldo and their new manager will be Wenger. Got anything else?

PSG are one of the few clubs that could sign Ronaldo and Speculation on Wenger's future is hardly new, especially with him only having a year remaining on his contract in the summer.

Is quite clear that other clubs could be interested.

So you think PSG will sign Ronaldo and Wenger will be their manager next season and Moutinho will be at Everton?

That is a decent treble that Paddy Power will give you good odds about.

I didn't say it would happen, just that it was not beyond the realms of possibility.

I'm stopping now, because you have yet to point out a single reason that Moutinho wouldn't go to Chelsea.

From Moutinhos point of view, if he was seriously considering us against another PL club, the AVB factor will definitely put us at an advantage imo.

If you were moving to a foreign country it would surely be more tempting to go to a team under the tuition and training of someone who knows you well and you have performed well for before?

There's also the Vertonghen factor that he knows other clubs would want him but he knows we really fudging want him! ;)
