Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Apologies if this is in the wrong thread but I need some advice.

I'll be back in England for Xmas and the only game I can make is the Southampton at home on Boxing Day 12.30pm kick off time.

Given there are no trains or buses I have no idea how I will get to Wembley. I'll be spending Xmas day in the south (near to Southampton which is ironic and maybe slightly lucky).

Just looking for some ideas please.

Seriously, (not really nowadays) back in the day, I used to do this all the time. There was one main road out of So'ton then leading to London and it started at Chilworth Roundabout. Stand the for a foew minutes and you'd always get a lift. Getting back was the issue, there,s a lot of ways out of London and not many people going to the planet So'ton

National Express Coach into London, then the tube.

Haha I've done a lot of travelling using that technique. Kind of hard with a suitcase and more trickily...girlfriend.

Not sure, have never heard of this. I think my best chance is with a Southampton fan coach or minibus, or do you think they won't take up much of their allocation?

I haven't been to many games this season but I imagine most clubs that play us at home this season would take up most/all of the allocation purely for the Wembley factor.

National express aren't running from what I can tell. Or maybe that was just to Wemboey.

They are running. But you have to go into one of their standard stops such as Victoria Coach Station and take the tube the rest of the way.

EDIT :
Just had a look for you. You can in fact get a coach from Southampton Coach Station to Finchley Road, which is just one stop from Wembley on the Metropolitan Line.

Might be worth contacting SFC and asking if they've got any spaces on their coaches. Do clubs still do that? I've travelled to WHL on a other teams coaches before and can remember Spurs and Man U supporters clubs sharing a coach. But again it was a long time ago.

Legend. Thanks mate. My UK public transport skills have gotten rusty after ten years in Australia.
