Europa League 2015/16

Haven't seen the game, but definitely plan to. Good for Liverpool to make it through and it also helps the coefficient (remember, Leicester will be in CL next year, so we need to get as many points as we can this year). Not bothered about any scenarios. We're top 3 easily and with the requisite focus will be second.

I'm fuming tbh, that late goal cost me winning £370 on a free sports bet I put on before the first legs which inlcuded City to get past PSG amongst others and the far lower odds Dortmund, the last leg of the acca is the one that goes wrong when it so comfortably looked like it was coming in.

I think we did the right thing, at least this year. Pool have nothing to play for in the league, so it makes sense they would throw all their weight on the EL. If we too were languishing in 7th or 8th spot with no chance of CL, I would have been incensed at not taking the EL seriously. But to be honest, I would rather be in our position right now than theirs.

Close, with Villareal edging it. Just started the 2nd half with hitting the post after a corner. Though Liverpool have looked tight at the back, but toothless going forward. Coutinho going out at half time won't help them either. Villareal look far more dangerous going forward.

Quite a poor Villarreal performance IMHO for the home side.
Liverpool look very comfortable - but are not playing a striker ATM

I'm a big Villarreal fan but I don't rate this side so much.

edit - Liverpool are bossing this :(

Liverpool bossing it? I'm sorry but what game are you watching? Apart from Firminho also hitting the post, they haven't created anything, and Villareal have more of the ball. Even Steven so far.

1 Liverpool are in total control and are getting the clean sheet they came for!
2 Villarreal have had 1 shot on target - which is poor for the home side.

I've only seen about 25mins or so but it's been poor fare from both really. Villarreal nearly scored there actually, but there's really not much quality on show from either team.

This will be a walk in the park for Liverpool tonight.

Might be a different kettle of fish v Sevilla in the final. Still have a feeling they will win the Europa League though, Can see it coming
