In your opinion what makes Ange a better premier league manager than Thomas Frank?

Just the small fact that Ange has finished 5th and won the Europa League at Spurs. Not to mention his other honours:

South Melbourne
National Soccer League: 1997–98, 1998–99

Brisbane Roar
A-League: 2010–11, 2011–12

Australia
AFC Asian Cup: 2015

Yokohama F. Marinos
J1 League: 2019

Celtic
Scottish Premiership: 2021–22, 2022–23
Scottish Cup: 2022–23
Scottish League Cup: 2021–22, 2022–23

---

Here's Thomas Frank's honours list:

Denmark U17
Syrenka Cup: 2010

Brentford
EFL Championship play-offs: 2021

Brilliant

Which Is why I specifically said Premier league manager.

Here is a comparison of Ange v Frank last 2 seasons in the Premier League.

Ange
1st Season
First 19 games - 1.95 PPG
Last 19 games - 1.57 PPG

This season
First 19 games - 1.26 PPG
Last 19 games - 0.73 PPG

Frank
1st Season
First 19 games - 1 PPG
Last 19 games - 1.05 PPG

This season
First 19 games - 1.26 PPG
Last 19 games - 1.68 PPG

It's quite clear Frank has adapted and improved in the Premier league whilst Ange has gone backwards and with a much bigger budget.

Great. I don’t care mate. Football is about winning things!

Fair enough. But many thousands do care and I'm sure I'm not alone in being unhappy having to go to most home league names knowing we had little interest in winning them because we were gambling on a cup

The thing with the whole sacrificing the league for the cup thinking - even if we take it as a given that's what had to happen in order to win the cup - that's still a substantial amount of football to be played where players can be brought up to speed with the tactical set up - did it feel like we were using that time on the pitch for anything worthwhile in that regard?

Or blooded some youngsters/given gray more minutes in CM etc

For someone that gave up on the league, he seemed to get annoyed when we lost/questioned on it

To be honest, I took that comment with a pinch of salt. Basking in the glory of Wednesdays victory it's very easy to say "oh yeah, it was all a masterplan where I binned off the league to give us the best chance to win this." Would he have said that if we'd lost the game? Doubtful, he'd have been crucified.

You can see that he prioritised the EL from Frankfurt onwards, and rightly so. But from January? Nah.
