Circus ManUnitus - Erik's At The Wheel

I know it's Utd and I know it's just standard when they win, but fudge me they've won the League Cup beating Villa, Burnley, Charlton, Forest to get to the final and ETH is now the second coming of Christ, if we had won the LC in any of those finals we lost in recent years you just know it would be treated as a tinpot.

Inherited the second most expensive squad in the PL ever, then made it the MOST expensive squad ever in the summer and Robbie Savage (I know) reckons he's the BEST MANAGER IN THE WORLD currently.

Is what it is though, losing to Forest infuriated me for that same reason, our route was decent enough had we stuck with it, we absolutely shat the bed with it this season

glazers showed a modicum of patience, when man u were losing 4-0 to brentford, you couldnt get odds on him staying the season, theres a lesson to be learnt here

One minute Erik Ten Haag can do no wrong, the next moment his team completely give up and ship 6 goals in one half to their main rivals.
So what's the narrative this week, is he the absolute best in the world or the absolute worst in the world? It must be one or the other, right?

People were so eager to brick on us they didn't read the situation

- ETH got hugely backed and has had a "great season"
- Conte has been an absolute disaster for us and we could have passed them on the table against Southampton, and still have a shot tomorrow

His sides are too open/naïve, think that CL semi against us, look at that 7-0 against Pool

Self deprecation specialists we are and I suppose like anyone we always look over the fence and think things are hugely better.

Footballs got a brilliant way of making dciks of us all

The fudging decisions they get .. fudge me ..

The non decision on the handball and I really don't see how Antonio gets called for a foul on that.

Someone mentioned that the Glazier's still want to retain a % of the club, which Ratcliffe is apparently offering, but the Qatari's aren't. Wonder if that will actually factor in, imagine their berk fans reacting to that ha.

The Glazers will follow the money.

If they get six billion return on their initial investment* it will be a remarkable piece of opportunistic business.

* Initially they put in about a third of the purchase money, with the rest in loans, but with the various debt restructuring, they may have recouped most that money and have a negligible real investment.
