Circus ManUnitus - Erik's At The Wheel

He now claims his problems are he doesn't have any 20 goal a season striker options.

Guess RVP, Falcao, Rooney aren't good enough

This guy would have been torn a new ass by the media if he was in charge of us instead of Manure

Would be ironic if Wellbeck got 20 goals this season after LVG dismissed him in favour of the others

Wellbeck is still a mediocre striker

The question is, how with Carrick, Mata, & Di Maria, you can't figure out how to get a front line of RVP, Falcao and Rooney firing (or at least 1 of them)

They have lucked out (pulled it out the hat) for a number of games this year, you really wonder where they would be if results more closely reflected performances

They would be seriously spending big, big money in January, that's where they would be.

Falcao, RVP and rooney combined have actually only managed one more goal this season than Harry Kane.

How the fudge did they win that? Or even score?

Grinding out wins Fergie style. Only in LVGs case you have to think the performances are so poor that it will start result in a few drop points at some point... right?

"Should Hector Bellerin have been sent off?"

Man Utd boss Louis van Gaal: "Who?"

Ha ha ha, he lost but he's still won.

Old Trafford is going to be a sour and nasty little place this weekend. Van Gaal is gonna be feeling some serious heat to get a result. Lose to us and his future seriously comes into question. A draw would not make anyone happy.

If we can score first, there's gonna be some angry fans letting them have it.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane says it will be a "disaster" if the club fail to finish in the top four but believes Louis van Gaal needs "two or three years" to rebuild the squad.

United's last realistic chance of silverware vanished as they lost 2-1 to Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

"Van Gaal is going to get criticised, you'd expect that," Keane said during his BBC Match of the Day analysis.

"Give the man a chance - two or three years."

United are fourth in the Premier League but their 10-game run-in includes matches against Liverpool (away), Emirates Marketing Project (home), Chelsea (away) and Arsenal (home).

They trailed to Nacho Monreal's goal on Monday before Wayne Rooney levelled. Former United striker Danny Welbeck hit the winner before the hosts finished with 10 men after Angel Di Maria was sent off.

The Argentine was first booked for diving, then tugged at referee Michael Oliver's shirt as he walked away, with inevitable consequences

Keane, who won seven Premier League titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League during a 12-year career at Manchester United from 1993 to 2005, said: "A lot of fans don't quite understand how to run a football club as big as Manchester United.

"They should have given David Moyes more time but didn't. What are they going to do? Chop and change again? Van Gaal has been in the door two minutes. It takes time. It's literally a rebuilding job.

"It would be a disaster [if United don't finish in top four]. The big problem with people at the club and ex-players is they keep looking back comparing teams from 10 years ago. They have got to look forward. Focus on the players, focus on the manager... get right behind him. I still think they have enough to get in that top four."

Former England striker Alan Shearer: "Manchester United's main priority this season is finishing in the top four. If they don't then it will be a catastrophe.

"They have spent a lot of money on players. There's a hell of a lot more money that needs to be spent to get them anywhere near where they want to be. There isn't another team in the Premier League that passes it back more than Manchester United."

Phil Neville, who won the Premier League six times with Manchester United: "Momentum works both ways and now United can't win silverware, all they've got left to concentrate on for the rest of the season is a top-four finish.

"There's a tricky period for them when they still have to play Chelsea, Emirates Marketing Project and Everton.

"It's a massive, massive last two months of the season for them. The results have been OK, but the performances have got to improve. Manchester United lost the tie in midfield. The half-time substitution of Ander Herrera I thought was a poor call."

Former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright: "Arsenal didn't have to do too much to win this tie. Manchester United didn't have too many ideas. It was a lot easier for Arsenal than they thought."

That was one of the worst games I've seen from a 'top half' premiership side all season - they looked clueless going forward as a team, individually they had no confidence and defensively they were all over the place. They should have lost by far more goals than they did. Some of those passes that went astray were mind blowingly bad.

No doubt the pressure will be well and truly on...

So many bad memories from those away games against United. Let's hope we can make another good one come the weekend and up the pressure on LvG even further.

Arsenal deserved the win, it has to be said. United suddenly look so, so ordinary (hopefully they'll be even worse on Sunday).

For someone who has grown up watching, and has only really known, the all conquering United sides of the Fergie era, it's equal parts sobering and fascinating to see them reduced to mere mortals.

man yoo have had a lot of luck in beating the dross, its time they had some unlucky losses starting on sunday

I hate these type of titled threads. Just a train crash waiting to happen ... you do realize we are Spurs ? Until we consistently change our results, will always be this way, uurrggghhh
