Champions League 2016/17

That's why PSG will never win the CL.

They were much better last season - the players look all over the place in the press and muddled when breaking on the 'slow' Arsenal defence especially in the first half.
Emery will not survive - looking at that display.

PSG play like they think they are 10 times better than the opponents. They take high risk at the back and are really nonchalant in their play. If they get rid of that and become more cynical, they would be a very good team.

I made a similar point to my son tonight. PSG stroll through the French league without breaking a sweat but it ill prepares them for the CL. They were far better than Arsenal tonight but were incredibly wasteful and often just self indulgent. Against CL quality opposition you need a ruthlessness that is absent from their play. They could have won that match tonight by 5.

Think Brent might be struggling to get any excellents into his post match interviews tonight.

"Tonight was hard, but there can be no embarrassment. Whenever you lose as a professional it is tough to take but [my] players have been brilliant. They couldn’t have come to a more difficult place in world football after the highly intense game [against Rangers] at the weekend and to have hardly any preparation time against the world’s best at keeping the ball; they beat you up with the football at times."

This was Celtic’s 28th away game in the Champions League, of which they have now won just one and drawn one, losing 26. And while this was their heaviest defeat, Rodgers took some refuge in that record. He also repeatedly returned to the theme of tiredness from the weekend’s Old Firm game while Barcelona, he said, were “super fresh” having rested eight players, and lost, on Saturday.

"Away from home Celtic find it very difficult over many, many years. Our home games will be very important, where our supporters genuinely create an extra man for us."

The daily record gave every Celtic player at least a 5 in the player ratings!
So losing to the imps wasn't an embarrassment and getting pumped by barca isn't a humiliation, you really can't paint a red neck on Rodgers.

amazing how Real always find a way to win, doesn't matter how late in the game it is

Leicester winning again 1-0 at HT v Porto.

So much for them letting our coefficient down
