**OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Some Spanish team apparently**

It was a ballsy effort, but we were obviously a bit scared in the first 20-30 mins. Most of the lads came good in the end.
Aurier made a stupid challenge, but he was good overall so I'm not gonna go overboard on him.
Winks anchored a 3 man midfield tonight. That was impressive. We would've done better with a more physical presence, sure, but we didn't have one and he did his job well.

The only thing that annoyed me was when our defence passed through their first line press and got the ball to Eriksen and Winks. All too often Winks and Eriksen went backwards and we played right back into their first line, usually resulting in a long kick forward from Lloris.

MOTM: Lloris just ahead of Sissoko for me. Sissoko tired a bit late on, but he was on it from the get go.
 
Yes, bizarre final 20mins, as DubaiSpur pointed out. Another day we could have lost 3-1, or another won 3-1. But I think we all agree offered 1-1 in the both group matches at 7.45pm, it would have been a no-brainer.

Scousers at work will be booking hotels for Kiev next May, but who gives a f#ck, proud of THFC tonight once again
 
I wonder if we'll play a similar way v Liverpool? We need to do something different against them, I think we can get loads of chances against them if we play to counter attack them.
 
Should definitely have Dele, Rose, Davies, hopefully Dembele and possibly Lamela back for the return game

Maybe even Wanyama?

Just 2 of those would make a big difference.Imagine having an almost full-strength squad to choose from
 
On another note.

Scary result for Liverpoo. They can really anhiliate teams when they catch them.

Also all 5 English Clubs are top of their groups. Interesting :)

just saying ;) as we have them next. Last year they were much better than us in both games. We struggle badly against their pace and press. So I am hoping we can do better this time around.
 
As people are saying...to do this without Wanyama, Dembele, Davies, a fit Rose to start, JV out of position, Alli to come back in, Lamela to add to this squad...bloody brilliant.

Also, it felt like every little decision that could have gone their way tonight, did. We did well to get out with what we did.
