***OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs. CSKA Moscow***

Boy
Samuel John Baird Travers

Should say that Samuel was the name chosen for his sister... and she didn't have the bits

John is my wife's uncle who died last month

Baird is my wise maiden name and she insists it's somewhere in the name

I wanted Harry Alli in there after they scored tonight but I was told it wouldn't work and it would have to be Deles full name which would take a lot of explaining

He does already have a Spurs kit though and will be doing a ground tour in February with his sister and my mates kids (and my newphews)
Mate you should be out getting tinkled.

Most satisfactory evening. First win I have seen at wembley since 2008! The thing I love most is being a yid. As others have said lots of good singing but rarely the whole ground at once...the new WHL will have a far far better atmosphere.

Missed the game as the wife was giving birth to a new Tottenham fan

How did we play????!!!
Congratulations! Now the fun starts.

Afraid you missed a bit of a treat at Wembley tonight. CSKA were maybe just one notch up from Swansea, even so, some of our attacking moves were nothing short of spellbinding. Alderweireld was given a rousing reception when he came on and with Dele amongst the goals again it really does feel like the whole team is coming back to their best.

Many congrats! :D :)

Easy win for us. CSKA not up for it at all. We could've won by 6 or 7, really.

On a side note - is it normal in England for the father to go out and get tinkled when the wife has given birth? I would've been thrown out if I did that. :p

It's traditional to do it after the event but not straight after (it used to be in my dads day)

I wouldn't be allowed home if I did that now

Congrats Bedford, but that name isn't very rock'n'roll eh? Zavers Travers?

In the 75th minute, right on cue, thousands of people got up and started leaving. Then our own fans started singing "is there a fire drill" and "we can see you sneaking out" to each other!

Definitely a far more enjoyable game than most of our trips to Wembley bar 2008. Thought we should have given more of a run out to the fringe players to be honest but it looks like the team is starting to click and build a bit of momentum now. Let's make no mistake, there will be far harder games to play in the Europa League than this one, and we now have a massive game on the weekend that the players will be tired for, but it's good to see the likes of Kane, Alli, Eriksen, Walker and Rose coming into form as we go into the busy Christmas period.

Would have preferred Poch rest a few more players but still a good win.

A dead rubber game but by far the most enjoyable trip to Wembley this season, mostly due to the nutter in the West Stand lower block J doing his best to get everyone singing, then climbing over the mesh on the seats to retrieve the ball :D.

Big question now is, what type of team will Poch select for the EL? Reading between the lines, the plan is to try and win the EL and qualify for the CL. Let's just hope that he takes the CL more seriously next season, still annoyed that he rested players in Monaco but that's maybe for another thread.

Guilty. No chance I was going to wait over an hour to get on the tube like it did against Monaco at home.

Except you wouldn't have done. I left just seconds before the final whistle (something I never normally do) and there was very little delay getting to Wembley Park. Just a couple of short waits, thanks no doubt to the thousands of early get-aways like your good self  and the 20,000 stay-aways.
