Son Heung-Min

I think it's crazy that we would consider it. We had this after one year with Lamela where Inter were sniffing around. Hopefully he stays on, because I think he could become very good in the future.

Agree, we'd be stupid to sell him. We want 5 senior players competing for those 3 positions behind the CF. Onomah and Edwards aren't good enough yet and Alli might also have to cover Dembele's role. As it stands, I don't understand what we're doing with our midfielders anyway - Poch said how important Dembele is but we don't have any cover for him and have sold Bentaleb, and appear to be close to selling Mason. We seem to be stripping the squad back crazily

We (almost routinely) see cases where we bid too late and a player who was for sale earlier in the summer is now not for sale because some of his teammates have been sold and the club is either reluctant to anger the fans by also selling him or don't need the money from his sale anymore. Schneiderlin, Rodriguez, Berahino, Wanyama (last summer), Zaha this summer....

...well, I hope we take a page from the book that keeps being flung in our faces every season and tell Wolfsburg to f*ck off. He isn't for sale.

Maybe we can say to them: "only if you sell us Draxler - or we are able to get Isco"...

Well I hope we will have Eriksen, Lamela, N'Koudou, Alli and Son as our 5 with Kane, Onomah and Edwards able to rotate it.

if we get the green light from Palace for Zaha, it will be Son out for 25 mill and Zaha in for 25 mill..............just watch

Tough call, I like Son but he did underwhelm IMHO last season.
I can see where Poch is going with his quest for faster paced players like "Mane". We all know Zaha's lack of final ball, but maybe Poch could teach him.........it won't be quick!

Suggesting that edwards can be relied upon is a big call. Looks a talent but is tiny and will probably take some time to develop.

Onomah is playing out of position and so far he hasn't looked amazing.

Erisken is woefully out of form although I have full confidence in him to return soon.

Lamela is growing in confidence and looks like he will have a good season.

Ndoukou is completely unproven and just like Clinton, he doesn't seem like a particularly amazing talent and I wouldn't rest your hopes on him doing much this season. Let's hope he does, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think Alli bar end product last season was often anonymous and even worrying with his touch etc... Before anyone attacks me for slagging of our prodigal son, I think it's actually to be expected that a league one player will not be refined and could have a second season drop off. He has real talent but he could have a very difficult second season so we need to use him well and ensure that he doesn't burn out.

High hopes for son but judging by his comments and the rumours, he might be unhappy and could well be off. After an up and down first season you would hope he progresses but let's see.

Basically my point is we need to improve in this area - Zaha would add a lot to our squad regardless of what people think as our movement and pace is severely lacking. We will regress if we stand still and I sincerely hope that we can add a couple of proven players before Thursday. We have the basis of a really good squad but a bit of misfortune and we could struggle this season.

I hope this is taken as a pinch of realism rather than panicky pessimism

I distinctly remember Son picking up a foot injury early into his Tottenham career and there being a big thing in the media that it would take about a year to get over the injury properly. I cannot believe I am the only one that remembers that. Maybe that explains why he never looked the same player when he came back.
