Europa League 2015/16

Where is everybody? Are they still celebrating Saturday? Or are they in the vice den....
Come somebody, your team needs an OMT.

I hate Owen with a passion, horrible commentator.

The penalty Liverpool got was not a penalty at all.

Done on the old 6 second rule :D

Bruce won't be happy.

When's the last time that happened? Late 90s? Pretty much every time a goalkeeper picks up the ball these days, he holds on to it for more than six seconds. Wonder why they just don't scrap the rule completely?

Ridiculously soft, but there was contact. Shearer would say he was entitled to go down, others that a player of his size and strength could have stayed upright if he wanted and he chose to dive..

21 seconds was taking the tinkle. You have to wonder why it wasn't called much earlier.

This got me thinking about indirect free kicks in the area. I like them and think they could be used more. For instance, was Benteke fouled or obstructed? I think it would be easy to rejig the rules or interpretations to make holding offences count as obstruction. Then referees could call them more often. The problem at the moment is that a penalty is such major call and too severe when borderline. The result is most of the time the defenders can get away with it so use it routinely. A spate of indirect kicks might change that.

Molde seeded as Group winners (they beat Celtic, Ajax and Fenerbache), and get "rewarded" by getting drawn with last years winners Sevilla.... How unfair is that!
