Saido Berahino

http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/clinton-njie/leistungsdaten/spieler/241119/saison/2014unproven

There's a table on that page which details which position the player played in - N'jie played as a CF in the vast majority of his games for Lyon last season - I know it doesn't fit this whole 'we only have Kane' line of thinking but N'jie is a striker by the looks of things

So we are going to rely on another unproven kid from another league, it might work, but our luck is rather patchy in this area

Would Peace expect to face a backlash then if Saido is sold before the end of the window?

I mean he and Kenwright today seem to have made bold statements that leaves little room for manoeuvre..or is he just setting it up as its all Saido's fault....I am half expecting some statement on twitter from SB soon begging to leave.

All Saido has to do is refuse a contract and he goes for relative peanuts next summer, maybe even a slightly cheaper deal in January.

I said that yesterday, but that does not help us right now, and we might not be the only interested party in the future

I do not blame them for playing hard ball I would expect nothing less if the roles were reversed, however I am concerned as what we do next. Could you imagine onif Kane tears his hamstring on Saturday, we would be royally fecked

hmmm yeah.....we will then go in for Borini and have pool taking the tinkle out of us no doubt.

I am concerned as well but I can only assume that there are other options that will be looked at, or Levy will put up. To me at least, it's obvious that he has put some sort of proposal to Levy and he's basically saying to all and sundry "He's not met it". He's made it public so that pressure is put on Levy and the club.

I would also add that why put this detail in today? He could have said all of this in the press release yesterday. Instead, and again it's only imho, it's gone public that we are in for someone else, Berahino is tinkled, and he's trying to remove the pressure that is on him.

Who does Peace think he's kidding....99% of the time Pulis plays with one striker......they got in Rondon & Lambert...they have Brown Ideye and others...how in the name of greek buggery are they short on strikers?????

'

He can play as a sole striker up front or in one of the 2 positions behind the main striker

So let me get this right, Spurs fans are not happy that the WBA chairman is not making it easy for us to sign their most valuable asset, go figure

What I'm seeing is some Spurs fans who blames Levy for the WBA not wanting to sell/dragging it out.

The rest seem rather nonplussed about it all.

Oh wait, that's the American version. The opposite of nonplussed then. Unperturbed or something.

Peace is a funny guy...
First he says "As I have made clear from the moment Tottenham lodged their first bid for Saido on August 18, selling our top goalscorer was never on our agenda this summer."

Then, a bit later: "Had we ever entertained the notion of selling him we have not received an offer anywhere near attractive enough from Tottenham Hotspur"

You have a decision to make, Mr. Peace. Is he for sale or not?

Why would we be 'happy' about it? It's stopping us from getting a player we want - don't think anyone is criticising him for it though or thinks it's unfair

This is wY levy wanted it .. Low ball the brick out of it with silly adds on and low transfer knowing it will be rejected ... Tuesday afternoon ring up and put in 25 m bid .. Wait n see .. Guarenteed .. Take it or leave offer put on table

If his intention was to pay 25m anyway why would he bother lowballing?

It is silly to say someone is not for sale at any price.

My house is not for sale.
Unless I get an offer of £1m.
Then you can have it,
And my car.
