Because it seems that ever since he got the big pay rise with the new contract, and it was rumoured a few big clubs are looking at him, his game has gone to pot.
Hopefully it is just a dip in form but he's been woeful so far.

Hasn't he only played two competitive games since then? He's a young player, starting his second full season as a first team player. We should expect his form to fluctuate, it seems a bit silly for me to create reasons to turn on him.

I'll just add a 20 year old with a world cup, african cup of nations, league cup final, europa leauge football and a season of premier league football (for the best of the rest) under his belt is being written off and bombed out of the team. After 80 minutes of football in 2015/16. Just let that sink in for a minute...

Errr...he was part of the side which got to the LCF, he helped Algeria qualify for the nations, and he helped us record some great wins last season whilst also helping us (if you will hahah!) qualify again for Europe. He has played well enough in all of them to be heavily scouted in the summer and for the club to give him a large pay rise to fend off predators.
We shall see Roy. We shall see mate.

I'd disagree with that completely. Poch has a history of being firm but patient with young players. Prett sure he'd try to work with him before replacing a 20 year old with great potential whos made a couple of mistakes at the start of the season.

Tend to agree with this he is only 20 for GHod sake and he is bound to make mistakes, the biggest hurdle he has to overcome is the over the top hype that was placed on his shoulders by some fans last season. He is still learning and some of the hype that was spouted about him last year has not done him any favours.
There is no reason he will not grow into the player we hope he will but he needs to lean a lot and leaving him out of the team for a few games will not do him any harm.

I'm not going to jump up and down at him, but I honestly don't see what the fuss is about him either. He'll be no better than a Jermaine Jenas for example, not that that is necessarily a bad thing, but certainly not the Steven Gerrard esque level that some are predicting.

I think he has potential to be a Souness rather than a Gerrard. I'm a big fan but it is only potential at this stage.
For whatever reason he's had a slow start, but the fire in his belly seems a bit diminished. Hopefully not for long
