trix: As things stand Ourselves, Arsenal and Yanited have all declared an interest in signing MS, and both PSG and Emirates Marketing Project have asked to be kept informed of any developments. He is our first choice option, where as it appears he is not for any of the other cubs and they are all actively chasing other options with MS being their plan B. This is what we are hoping is our USP, and it sounds now as if MS and his agent have set a deadline for concrete offers. IE make me an offer or get off the pot. Arsenal I'm told are confident of Vidal and are holding out to make sure he comes through this tournament first.
It is not the case that he has chosen anyone as yet and he has said he wants to wait and weigh up all his options, but it is assumed(by us) that should he get a concrete offer from either of the others he will go there. He is not however willing to hang around for weeks only to be blown out for Vidal for example. Deadline is this week so we are still very much in with a chance, although it is as much in the hands of others as it is in our own.

on ms/money: Told money is not an issue, we do not have to sell to buy him, and the hold up is purely down to MS making a decision. Cash flow may well affect anything later in the window but not this one.

Kono I don't think so. Toby likely is my belief. We went in strong for kono but too complex and difficult is what I was told earlier on. I hope it is a smokescreen. MS I thought was manc bound, but thought agreement with agents in place they have not submitted a formal bid. Told we only ones but terms of bid not agreeable with his club though price met. Have been given and have been permission talking to his people. Next week should be very interesting with this one as we have set a deadline. If still undecided we will move on with other targets. Moses' agents pushing him big time but we have not bid.

  • NB asking for significantly more than expected.
  • DL wants to get this done, even at an above market rate, but right now there's a big gap between them.
  • Negotiations still in progress but will take some compromise on both sides to get this done, especially from NB whose salary demand values him as being in the top few PL midfielders.
  • Fingers crossed that common sense prevails and a deal can get done.

I know there are 100,000 reasons why Turan could sign for Chelski, but i think he'd more likely want to go to Arsenal.
I think the Mourinho sheen is starting to wear thin, when you look at all the CMs he has gone through at Chelski...
 
His agent said he wanted to leave A Madrid for somewhere where he had less defensive responsibility haha. I know he is an excellent player but what a thing to put out there

JJetset fella just ruled out Toby Alderweired (not sure of spelling!) but said everything is still on plan ;)

Also said we still need 1 more CB to replace Kaboul.
