***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs BOLTON WANDERERS OMT***

An incredibly frustrating game to watch, up until Redknapp pulled his finger out and made the subs. Till then, I was beginning to think we might never score another goal again. Quite reminiscent of the Stoke game at the weekend, in that respect. Better set-pieces again, though.

Yeah, my whole respectful atmosphere thing kind of went out the window tonight. I couldn't not boo Ryo Miyaichi and Howard Webb!!

Thought atmosphere was brick tonight really subdued until vdv missed that one on one chance then crowd got behind team it was a fa cup quarter final ffs. Typical of our modern day support as I was leaving ground got message off two lads I know who havent been to a game this season asking if I could sort em with semi tickets? These being same two lads I told at the weekend there was still tickets available for tonight who just shrugged it off can't really afford it mate! Amazing how as soon as days out at wembley come along everyone who's always skint somehow have the money

Liverpool got 31k allocation today

We have 23k ST's, probably 2k for corporate and staff tickets so a max of 6k for members, well over 200 id say

Maybe if we return to Wembley in a few years I'll get a ticket. However with only 80 LPs, it doesn't look like I'll be going this season.

I've made 2 OMTs this season with a 100% success rate. BOOYEAHH

That sums you up PERFECTLY.

I did NOT i repeat NOT pick out defoe for not passing.

This was your first post after the final whistle:

Defoe telling Bale "So so so what, so fudging what?" what Bale questioned him. He also said "you shot". Is that the line of reasoning you say when not passing to a teammate when he's through on goal to seal a win?

Call it what you want, thats the post I responded to initially. And all I said initially was that maybe he would have passed if there was more than 1 second left.

Harmless enough.

Until you piped up with: "Hmmmm Defofe...no he wouldnt"

Yeah, its all totman starting trouble again!! \o/

You also make a point of me not responding to what you write. Yet when you stated that "not one poster is bashing Defoe" and I post a quote which clearly was, your reply was:

"Your'e so cool, congratulations" blah blah blah.

WTF? Dont be such a shameless hypocrrite.

We always enjoy winning it the hard way, don't we. For all the chances created we should have won this match comfortably. Instead, we were just 15 mins away from dragging this match to another replay. We created so many chances that we should have scored but most of them were direct at the goalie. I don't think the Bolton goalie were great. We were just not being clinical enough in front of goal.

IMO, Defoe changed the match for us as he created both the goals. It was his turn and shot which resulted in the corner from which we scored. And it was unselfish of Defoe to pass the ball to Bale for the second goal. You can't blame Defoe for being selfish afterwards which resulted in the argument with Bale. Due credit for Nelsen for scoring the all-important first goal. Not sure if we would have won this match had he not scored at that time. Saha scored a good goal but wish he can be more consistent in front of goal when needed.

Let's hope we will be more clinical in front of goal against Chelsea in the semi final. After losing our last 5 FA Cup semi finals, don't think we can afford to lose another one.

Sorry what? you stated that he might have passed with more time and i say he wouldn't have? that's where it should stop.

Anyway i made a point to state what i was pointing out and it wasn't about him not passing. Much like this post you chose to ignore the post where i clarify things (other posters chose to read the post and understand what i was saying). After all that you still declare that i had a go at Defoe for not passing. I mean it's like you're intentionally trying to be difficult. I could understand that you may have got the intentions of my original post mistaken but when someone clarifies it AND you still choose to persist with it then it's weird to me.

Not really sure what you are protesting about. I have said it was a good performance, that we played well, that Bale was dangerous throughout, that it will give us confidence going into the Swansea game... not sure the point you apparently protest about (ie two players arguing because they still wanted to make something happen...in the 93rd minute) is incompatible with, or undermines, what I have already said. You are making an issue out of nothing for whatever reason. Your prerogative I guess.

Sorry, I wasn't disagreeing with you nor trying to make an issue... I hadn't intended to post a reply specifically to your post which I agreed with... my error:(

Poster X - " Defoe's shot at the end is how a brick player would finish"

Poster Y - "How the hell can you call Defoe brick? he's not brick"

poster X - " I wasn't, i was saying his shot was brick"

poster y - "oh ok"

thats how it would usually go but with you it's:

Poster X - " Defoe's shot at the end is how a brick player would finish"

totman - "How the hell can you call Defoe brick? he's not brick"

poster X - " I wasn't, i was saying his shot was brick"

totman - " People calling defoe brick really bugs me. Always having a go at him and complaining".

poster x - "but i wasn't though, i said the shot was brick, it wasn't very good"

totman - "mate you just called defoe brick, that's bang out of order, how can he be brick?"

and it will continue for a while.

Good performance. Considering the shots and shots on goal stats I find it almost scary to think that in my opinion we still have quite a way to go before we reach our best...

The irony of your hypocrisy is quite sickening

I thought it was nothing like the Stoke game. In that we looked rather flat and didn't create enough, whereas last night we knocked the ball around well, got in behind them and created enough proper chances to win 5 games. Interesting that Modric has finally been stripped of corner taking duty (thank GHod). VDVs delivery is much better (even if it does mean we have to make do with outswingers from the left corner).

Oh and my take on the Defoe shot at the end was that he had every right to take it on. He got his shot on target and the keeper had to make a good save. Bale was well positioned but it still would've taken a decent pass from Defoe, and touch and shot from Bale to have got a goal. Defoe backed himself to score and I don't mind that one bit. I thought Defoe was excellent when he came on last night, got on the ball, got in good goalscoring positions, made the perfect run and pass for our second goal and got all of his shots on target.

My mate's a clown shoe. He told Adebayor after the game that he's brick, a waste of space and should leave Spurs. That's not what I like to hear

Yeah, I've got a pic of him and Friedel, but not one of him and Ade (though I can't imagine Ade would want a photo with him after the abuse)
