***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs BOLTON WANDERERS OMT***

See how I have the ability to use the word maybe. Good for you that you know for a fact what he would have done in another situation.

you can make a pretty good judgement based on

a) the player
b) the players past history when it comes to shooting when it was better to pass
c) the players greedy nature on the pitch

based on that it's as close to definate as you're gonna get.

I agree he's entitled to shoot for sure but the reasoning in that heated debate/argument was worrying. It's essentially 'you shot when you could have passed so i did the same'. Tit for tat flimflam when we're on our current run is not needed.

I agree. I do feel for Defoe, he is top scorer and looks dangerous when he comes on. But I do think his problem is more about his all round play, he should have passed, but didn't even look up. Bale's chances meanwhile were hardly about shooting just because he could, he was constantly threatening tonight.

ideally not, but it was in the heat of the moment - a minute later they were both celebrating together with Saha.

the argument could be a good thing to bring it out in the open, now they can just get on with it.

Way too boring. Its a nothing issue. The guy was on the pitch for 15 minutes, set up a goal, had a few good efforts, and with one second left, shot when he could have passed.

We were going through, he knew that, I know that, you know that. Moan away, Im celebrating a long overdue win, and good performance.

COYS

Apparently we did need it....thats why Defoe's getting stick on here

When we really needed it at Everton (a) in the last minute his shot was poo. When he should have opened the scoring against Man U he weaky shot straight at Ade, at Stevenage away he had the whole goal to aim at and shot at an offide parker. Any more examples of when we needed a goal from him and he failed to deliver?

I reckon Bale and Defoe have forgotten about that little spat already.

Shame this board can't....

Yeah but no one is really making an issue about it! Sport creates talking points, this is a small one but one nevertheless. I personally don't mind seeing it at all because it shows desire on both their parts to do well. We need that kind of energy.

Not my point

Not his fault that he's been dropped countless times and wants to get back on the scoresheet.

Almost as ridiculous as bashing Saha for two below-par performances and insinuating that we should have kept Pav.

Not 1 person has bashed Defoe. I explained exactly what i meant on a later post and it wasn't to bash him because he didn't pass ffs.

Hats off to Raboner for the OMT, Steff for tipping Nelsen and Rorshach(sp) for predicting 3-1 at HT

defoe should've labeled himself 'biggest moaner' in his crappy video spiel..

he had a right dig at danny rose for slightly over hitting a pass, then proceeds to ignore two nailed on goal assist opportunities, to waste it with brick shots on goal.

little greedy bastard. i was shocked to see him pass to bale for the second, was expecting him to have a pop from halfway.

I thought the same actually

the original OMT yes (as far as i see it, COYS leeched all my glorious OMT power and used it for this one) so not only have i saved a life, i have seen us progress to the semis of the FA cup.

WEMMMBERLEY!

Totman you complained a while back about posters insulting you when all you are doing is debating about football but i now see how and why you get people to that stage. You persist and persist even after it's been explained to you. I was in no way moaning and you didn't understand my post (AGAIN) but you continue to go on what you believed the post and completely ignore the post explaining what was meant.
