The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

Thats the fourth time City have scored six or more at home this season. Have we even done it four times in the PL era??

@DTguardian: Emirates Marketing Project beating London in straight sets this season: 6-0, 6-3, 6-0.

@benjaminpugsley: This ain't a pretty stat line from the Emirates Marketing Project v West Ham game: pic.twitter.com/9TWcY9jcHo

6-0 and it's boring! Even the Emirates Marketing Project fans that turned up couldn't even be bothered to stay to the end. They were the same against us. What's the point, it's all a bit meh...

We have, but its took us nearly 20 years. I can recollect 5 occasions off top of my head, but struggling for anymore

Last times I can remember us scoring 6 (or more in a game at WHL)

Nov '09 - Wigan (PL) 9-1
Dec '07 - Reading (PL) 6-4
Sept '07 - Anothosis Famagusta 6-1
Dec '01 - Bolton (LC) 6-0
Mar '00 -Southampton (PL) 8-2

In fact we came close in the 07/08 season as in addition to the Reading and Famagusta games we also scored 5 against Ar5ena1 and got 5 against Fulham too.

We scored 13 against Crewe in the FA Cup and 10 against Everton in the 1st Division.

...but our highest score remains Tottenham Hotspur 18-1 Saskatchewan FA (Canada) in May 1952.

And that was including giving them our goalkeeper Ted Ditchburn for the second half.

Those 5 games were the ones I could think of, dont remember any others at the Lane.

That 07/08 season we scored goals for fun at home. Christmas 2007, 11 goals in those 2 home games v Fulham and Reading. Got 5 v Charlton IIRC

Was that ever classed as an offical game, I always thought our record win was the Crewe match

The Charlton game was Dec '06 so part of the 06-07 season - we won 5-1 and scored over 100 goals during the season; we scored a lot of goals in both seasons. The amazing Villa and Chelsea 4-4's were also in the 07/08 season (you may recall that when Villa played Chelsea that season they also drew 4-4!)

You got me intrigued with that stat and had a peek at that season. That was some tour we went on.

Good spot, my mistake, memory mixing up the seasons

How does Messi just run past people for ages and then kick the ball into the net, all the time? It's weird.

discontent at united amongst the players apparently

in my opinion, if the board have any sense they'll back moyes and buy a whole new squad if needs be
