Bale is staying 1 more season! We said we would invest and we have. And will continue too.
Only way he will go this year is if they pay over £100mil, and they wont!
We have extra money from board this year, FFP last chance in enic eyes. Will make back oulay with CL and next sponsors.
We have enquired for Will in russia they want big money but will probaly come down in price, Lamela is big possibilty. Think last years window for when this mite happen. (Btw he means last week of window).

I would, if it meant us keeping Bale. I've explained my alternative thinking here before. If we kept him, we would get £85m worth out of him, even if he let his contract run down.
 
That is a good point re;if he ran his contract down.
I was going to argue that an 85m sale alleviates the recent missing out on cl. But now I think I like your way of thinking.

Father Joe is doing a one off. I liken it to Jack Walker and Blackburn, his dream was to see his club win the EPL in his lifetime. I am not saying this is Joe Lewis' one wish but he has clearly made it known that the money is there, and targets were discussed in meetings and concluded with his full backing. I did comment a while back that there is big money, and may I just add it is not at all dependent on Bale's sale either now or in 12 months time.

I do not believe that RM has that money sitting in the bank but time will tell. I believe that we have set a price which is realistic in club's eyes and I believe them when they say he will not be sold. I expect us to break our record again if clubs can agree, and wages now not a problem for the right players. with all the lurkers around safe not to name drop but most is out in the public domain now.

Sharing as I believe we want to know and my take on what I have heard from highly reliable sources.


He wants success and trophies and believes with many factors like 3 new managers among T4 (top 4), and Fair play, new money and American agreement soon to come out this is the time


Mega agreement in pipeline commercially.

Because they take time to complete and there are other clubs with even more money still looking for players would be my guess.

A bit too perfect that, if a Spurs fan were to find a magic Spurs lamp then his three Spurs wishes from the Spurs genie would be:

* Bale staying
* Lewis pumping in mega bucks
* Naming rights in place for new stadium

Still, better than someone making up ITK which says Bale is off or we are signing Nile Ranger.

I posted a few weeks ago about his daughter saying they were ready to spend (she is his heir). She was absolutely gutted we missed out on Benteke.

There was ITK on an Arsenal forum last season saying that he was at an event and bumped into someone high up at the Tavistock Group who said Lewis had taken Spurs private with the intention of investing heavily and that we were about to overtake them in a big way... there were other rumours last summer of big investment that never materialised, but then this summer one of the ITKs said that the money gifted to the club from Lewis took longer than expected to be cleared.... who knows????
