Gareth Bale

Re: Gareth Bale

yeah have agreed to pay 105,000,000 with an uninterested/disenchanted player coming our way......no effin thanks!!!!!!!

Go on Levy my son - give the toad and chestbutter some sleepless effin nights!!!!!!

Also interesting with this whole saga is how supposedly manu have used the fabregas offer as a smokescreen to line up an 80m deal for Ronnie........obviously they would then have the funds for Bale....... whats the matter Madrid??? papping yourselves cause Ronnie wont sign a contract and will see his value fall with one year left on his deal.......boo fudgein hoo!!!!

this should be levy's terms of any deal for Bale.........

public apology for Tottenham Hotspur for how they have conducted themselves in this transfer saga.

any outstanding monies owed for Luca Modric to be paid in full.

£105,000,000 no players involved just cold hard cash....if levy feels generous can be over 3 years.

25% sell-on clause

15% commercial income of Bale's time at Madrid going to spurs (we do have a special relationship after all)

Guarantee that Madrid would never transfer Gareth Bale to Arsenal

six month secondment for Z Zidane to watch and learn from Baldini so he can learn how to behave like a gentleman.

How do you like those apples????? the end.

Re: Gareth Bale

I had £25 on 6/4 and £25 on at 9/2 today

When you think of other things that get priced up at 9/2.......surely looking at the situation with a sensible non sensationalist head on, 9/2 is a massive value bet

Many things have to align

1> Levy has to want to sell
2> If he does it will be for a price north of £80m and wouldn't be surprised if he wanted £100m, plus they've got to negotiate with the master.
3> Do RM have the money in the first place to complete the deal
4> Bale after thinking it through, concludes it is best for his career and family

It looks like no official bid has been made...........most of all the 'he's going' spin has been provided by Marca and lapped up by the lazy gutter press in the UK. And there is the third option of stay for a year and then go (and 9/2 still gets paid)

Thats a lot of hurdles to leap over, to back him too 'go' at such a skinny price.

Re: Gareth Bale

£105m though? Could we REALLY reject that? Everyones got a price. That's just outrageous.

I'm not sure about the whole player thing, I mean how motivated will they really be here? Shafted into a deal so Madrid can get shot of them, must be a horrible feeling. I'd want players who would WANT to play for Spurs, not just a make weight in a deal.

I'm good man, I'm happy with the signing!

Which is why it needs to be someone they don't want to lose. If they play up.. sell them to Barca.

Re: Gareth Bale

Has he travelled with the squad to Monaco or beeen talk of him not traveling??

yeah there has been chat of him being injured & not playing vs Monaco....

think the plane leaves in the morning from stanstead.....so will know for sure soon.

Re: Gareth Bale

regarding players wanting to play... not sure but do you think soldado wanted to move if his club didn't need the money?
point is a sale or a player makeweight deal- both needs player who decides to move, and you can never really tell what the player truly feels. They're professionals after all, its a job, and they have to make the most of it before their useful life is up.
