Michael Dawson

Re: Dawson

It was funny seeing people on here willing to sell him for 8m. He along with Lennon and Defoe are my fave spurs players and thats because theyre part of the furniture and are not just passengers but contribute.

Was excellent today and his celebration at the end was dare I say it awesome

well i actually i was thinking of a puff sso i could rest my feet. I drove nearly 300 miles today i need to put my feet up and i love a nice puff.

Re: Dawson

I'll admit that I wasn't too unhappy about potentially selling Dawson and I've been proved wrong.

I thought he was clumsy, made blood and guts challenges to make up for his mistakes and wasn't actually that good. He has proved me wrong and many others wrong and has had an excellent season for us.

Re: Dawson

When Dawson had his shirt off today, I thought he looked leaner and fitter than I can recall seeing him at any previous time. His play has improved this season and he looks a more agile and confident athlete.

If anyone wondered about the value of the new training centre, Dawson's revival on the heels of a nasty injury is evidence of what it's giving this Spurs squad.

Re: Dawson

He was outstanding today and a real leader on the pitch

I was happy with the offer from QPR but I'm blood glad he didn't go.

If they had him they would have won today IMO

We haven't lost with him playing this season IIRC

We lost when Dawson started against Norwich in the League Cup and when he came-on as a sub against Emirates Marketing Project and Arsenal away...

...but apart from those three matches, Spurs have won 14 and drawn 5 of the other games Dawson has featured in.

Re: Dawson

Whatever Dawson has done, or AVB said to him... he has almost eliminated the hoofing out of his game and is now turning into a very good defender.

Perhaps he's finally been given some proper tactical instructions, as opposed to 'running around a bit and enjoying himself'

Re: Dawson

The player I respect most in the squad.

I'll be honest, I wasn't unhappy to see QPR's bid accepted but he's come back and proved everyone wrong.

Love watching him play and I'm glad it isn't in another team's colours.

I share those sentiments. Glad to see him upping his performances on the pitch, I always liked him for his attitude like most people, but on the pitch he wasn't always the best.

Re: Dawson

Wonderful to see Dawson playing consistently well and still being such a likeble lad!

Hi. I am so happy that people can admit that they were wrong. Well done Sir.

I just hope that others on this forum had a similar attitude.

GOOD POINT Arcy. However, there are some on this forum that think our manager has no clue.
They decided that when AVB was appointed. And some of them will NEVER change their view.
I don't need to name them - but we all know.

Some even think that they are tactically better than AVB.

Genuinely likeable and loves playing for the club. Great player to have around the place IMO

Yes, noticed that too, he's definitely reigning in the long hoofs. Would imagine AVB and his coaching staff have been working on it with him. Didn't notice any at all yesterday.

But on the occasions when he does look for a long range pass nowadays it's usually that much more accurate than in previous years and he's actually been known to produce the odd peach too.
