The All New Transfer Rumour Discussion Thread

But he's no longer injured and presumably should be training with the squad every day?

As Milo said, the squad do get days off and France isn't exactly far. No different than Lennon or the Kyle's heading back home to the north on their days off really.

From where BAE lives It's probably quicker to get back to Northern France than it is to drive to Saudi Sportswashing Machine, so I shouldn't read too much into it.

By banned, you mean hike premiums surely? Since when do insurance companies give a brick if you die?

Presumably this is the club's insurers, i.e. they pay out if players get seriously injured and can no longer play, or are out of action for a long period. The club would still have to pay out their contract and would claim back from insurers. I imagine they're not allowed to do all sorts of high risk things...

Cudicini's motorbike agrees with you! 8-[

The crap the journos make up to sell papers makes little difference to our transfer activities anyway.

This is getting depressing even the papers arent linking us with anyone

It's just the mid-jan lull.

People haven't quite gotten desperate to get players in, and the ones that are organised enough have gotten players in early.

You know what it's like with deadlines, nobody ever takes the middle amount of time.

Did anyone watch the WBA highlights yesterday? I was well impressed with Lukaku during the game against Reading. I have watched a little of him since he moved there on loan and he has impressed and disappointed in equal measure but he certainly looks to me like the regular starts are benefitting him.

On a transfer level, I would want to see a bit more of him before saying he would be a good signing for us but he has all the qualities including age on his side. However, I do wonder with the signing of Ba, Torres being already there and the signing of Falcao being mooted, is Lukaku likely to have a future there? He would be someone that I would certainly like us to keep an eye on for the rest of the season with a view to making an approach in the summer.

I remember when he was up for sale in Belgium and I was praying we would get him. A beast.

Why are we talking as if Lukaku is a possible signing?

1. He hates AVB
2. Chelsea see him as one for the future - they won't sell

Duncan Castles is reporting AVB is looking to bring Holtby in this January after Sandro underwent surgery.

He certainly did based on strong comments at the end of last season! But i'm not so sure if that's still the case.

After the WBA game at WHL this season, there was a camera view of the players leaving the pitch and heading down the tunnel. AVB was chatting to some bloke and i expected Lukaku to just keep walking. But he stopped, got AVB's attention and it was hugs, smiles and jokes all around.

Still can't see him coming though!

Torres looking to leave chelsea with liverpool his preferred destination. do players not care what brick they play with or look at the league table ?
