I think Suarez does himself no favors, and quite what was going on against Stoke with that stop 'n' flop I do not know, but he was stamped on by Huth, Huth should've been marched and I think Rogers is doing what I would want my manager to do, deflect to the other equally present issue of mis-justice and then take the player into a quiet corner and gave him a lecture...

If Gareth Bale gets Charlie Adam sent off, I will be delighted. This is someone who has done him once and tried to do him again (not forgetting the 4-0 last season when he got his marching papers before he could get the job done)...yes, put me on record. If Gareth Bale dives near Charlie Adam, I 100% support him.

Redknapp: I would love to see retrospective bans for diving but I can’t see it working. It’s an embarrassing problem for the game at the moment and it’s not just a problem with foreign players. The Gareth Bale effort was as bad as Luis Suarez’s on Sunday. It’s so tough for the referees and maybe retrospective punishment could be effective in the long term. But in the short term, there would be chaos with lots of bans and confusion over what constitutes a dive.
Why the fudge did Harry not say something last season when he was manager if he thought it was so bad?

The problem with that is he has no credibility when he claims Suarez is the victim, even when he does get fouled. As for managers backing their players publicly, I would like to see more manager go down this route:

Unless he did everything he could to dissuade Bale from diving, he has to shoulder his share of the blame. But if he did it begs the question why he stayed silent on that point.

Very disapponiting comment to read all round, no offence.
The fact you've been promoted to a position of some sort of objectivity makes it even more bizarre to spout out such comments about purposefully aiming to injure players or 'do' someone and openly promote cheating in the game because someone got a few tough tackles in his career from a thick clogger. Lionel Messi is claterred week-in-and-out from every angle, yet I've never seen him dive or attempt to cheat/deceive the ref.
Perhaps people have a point after all - the current crop of Moderators and their take on football in general has reached a very strange plateau, imv - I've been on this forum for around 6 years and I have never disagreed more on football takes than ever before.

As a moderator you don't give up your right to have an opinion. All moderating decisions are made by the admins as a group, but we still retain the right to post as individuals on all other matters.

Once again, some of you need to realise we are fans and regular people too. As such, we have as much right to express a view that may not sit with everyone on here, but is an opinion nonetheless.
Imagine if we moderated to such an extent that we made noises over any slightly different viewpoint made by some posters on here. The end of free speech as we know it?

I think Adams tackles were so bad you can see the point Steff is making. I do not want to see any human being in pain, period. But in terms of justice, of what goes around comes around, then I can see the logic behind it.
If Adams broke his leg because of a bad tackle on him I'd find it hard to be too sympathetic.
