Steve Carr
the end of sarr? i personally really, really like sarr, but TF never plays him, and now conor is coming in
Think we need both at least for the rest of the season with Bentancur’s injury.

Yeah....Bet his whole family are dying for him to become a Spurs player.
I give up mate. Wasn’t expecting to have to defend an innocuous comment so much. No, maybe it is nothing new. But I’m glad that we have the muscle and flexibility that Villa don’t. And I think what is sort of new from this news is proof that even though Villa currently look like a much better footballing prospect than us, our weight actually still matters. It is nice to be reminded of that, and see it in action.
Sarr was pretty much the first player on the team sheet for the first 6 weeks of the season. He was on fire then it all fell away. He may be young but he needs to get the trait of being streaky out of his game.Think we need both at least for the rest of the season with Bentancur’s injury.
Ah sorry exactly the point I was trying to make, only far less eloquently!Sarr and Bentancur are quite good at that too, not sure there will be a big difference in our pressing.
As per our previous conversation about Bentancur I think Gallagher is more secure in possession and while not a deep playmaker for me quite capable of some decent pass and move play - while being more secure. So maybe Frank gets someone he trusts to be a bit more progressive, while (safety first) being a hard working athleticly strong player who will defend well.
Overall I think he's better than Sarr and Bentancur. But he still leaves our midfield with a lot of similar-ish profiles, missing a deep playmaker/ball progression player and passer.
Incremental improvement I guess, a limited one, but still.
Seems a really good pro with good experience and some leadership about him, I guess we need that.
Hopefully not the last significant money spent this window of completed.
He’ll be the new Jason CundyYeah....Bet his whole family are dying for him to become a Spurs player.
The old Jason cundy is turning into the new Danny dyerHe’ll be the new Jason Cundy![]()
He's a good fit for Frank's style of football.A few years ago when he was at Palace I would have been overjoyed at this signing. But now, I’m not sure what Gallagher adds to our team. He has never struck me as a passing/playmaking midfielder rather a hardworking box to box. And I think we need more of the latter than the former. Haven’t watched him at Atletico so maybe his game has evolved. Happy to be proved wrong.
Ohhhhh we willIt's not like he was a bench warmer at Atletico, he was a regular starter and if Simone thinks he is good enough for his team then who are we to turn our noses up at him?
Ange wanted him too though...for a very different style of football. Maybe he is a chameleon. He's a good fit for Frank's style of football.
That's not a compliment.
