Destiny Udogie

Absolute top notch player! Looks so composed and in control in every situation, plus he's big and powerful and has pace! Proper player! He plays like a seasoned pro, You forget he's only 20! I love him!

Every top club in Europe will be sniffing round him come the end of the season

was thinking the same, we should be signing him up to an improved-longer contract! Only 3 games in but every reason to think it would be worthwhile.

Is there a better LB in the league?

I see the lad did not turn up to the Italian under 21 squad due to injury. I hope he is ready for the Sheffield United next week.

Good again today, although could've been better. Won the ball back to start our attack for the second goal so pleased with that. Will turn 21 in a few months so is still so young. Hope we offer him a new contract at the end of this year if he keeps playing well.

This guy's been an absolute revelation. Hard to imagine - impossible, really, - that he'd have seen much playing time if Conte was still our manager. But he is getting his chance under Ange and making the most of it. Intelligent, energetic with a high footballing IQ. His smart move to close down a Sheff U clearance started the passing sequence that led to Kulu's winning goal.

Surely his first PL goal for us will be memorable. A 30-yard screamer in the Danny-Rose-vs-Arsenal mode:

Or a filthy, dirty-dangle, bar-down cheese snipe.

But I'll settle for a scruffy in-off-his-arse marker.

I genuinely don't think so

I cannot think of a 20 year old defender that walked into a struggling side that changed 6 starters, with zero PL experience, settling into a new country, and been so seamless.

He and VDV are much better than people realize, will they have the odd shaky moment? absolutely but the fact that they (again with zero PL experience and no more than one real year of senior team playing) make Sess, Dier, Sanchez look fudging ordinary should tell you something.

Can they get/be better? yes, could we reasonably have expected more? I don't think so
