We won’t be getting rid of anything over 6 players, no team recycles their entire first team in 1 window. If Sanchez goes, Dier will stay - if Peresic goes, Sess will stay and ultimately it will come down to who are interested in buying them I expect as to which players leave and which stay fir another season

Technically we absolutely will

Lucas & Danjuma not renewed, Winks, Rodon, Lo Celso, Reguilon absolutely going, Sanchez, Lloris, Tanganga all actively trying to move (public statements), Ndombele, Perisic, Sess & Dier candidates

Importantly, not too many of them have 3-5 years left on their contracts anymore. While I agree we won't get rid of all, I could see 7-10 plus a couple of loans

Danjuma was never ours, so cant really include that one. We also haven't sold Lucas, we didn't renew his contract.

Winks, Rodon, Lloris, Sanchez are looking likely - the latter 2 as they are both actively asking for a new challenge.

Outside of those however, i can see Ange taking a good look before any decisions are made, with maybe a couple more being sold. I fully expect Dier to still be here at the end of the window, he's a team leader by the sounds of it so similar to Kaboul when Poch came in, the apple cart wont be upset on day 1.

For what its worth I would have Perisic as back up/alternative for the front 3 every day of the week as he looks decent in those areas. I would not have him anywhere near a FB role.

Thats for Sess and Destiny to fight between them IMO
Peresic would also be a decent option in midfield LCM position. He's clever and knows what areas to exploit.

But does he have the engine for it? While he's wily enough (most of the time) to pick his battles out wide, he does sometimes get caught. Played centrally, he'll have nowhere to hide.

That said, now that there are more than three substitutions available, perhaps a forward-thinking coach can plan for it better.

Were does this myth come from? He's lost a bit of pace, but there's nothing wrong with his stamina and ability to cover ground.

Not sure whether its just Spurs fans, or GG, but there's lot on here who love to move players to other positions!

Perisic to LCM, Kulu to CM, Kane as a no 10, Royal as a RCB,....

It worked for Bale and as for Kane, that's not a fan suggestion, it's literally what he has already been doing for large chunks of games for ages.

I did find the premise of Kulu at RWB an excruciating one but him playing more centrally as a 10 / advanced player type seems like it could work. I've seen it suggested that he plays as a CAM but no shouts for CM.

Perisic in the centre is another eye bleeder suggestion though, maybe at international level sure but it's a totally different game coming away from the touchline where you can see everything to the chaos of midfield and it's late in the day for a transition like that as his legs have gone / are going.

Maybe I am imagining it but did Conte try him out there?
Conte mentioned it as a throwaway comment and it was latched on to by someone. In game I recall he tried it in the latter end of a game where we were chasing an equaliser so it was more of a hail Mary overload desperation tactic rather than him really playing RWB seriously.

Bale and Kane could go in goal and still win games singlehanded, two of the greatest ever footballers.

I agree Kulu would he good as a 10, and that Perisic in CM would be mental. You need to be able to defend to play in midfield, he’s slow and crap physically. Like you say, completely fine at international level ;)
