ENIC

More than being associated with a state regime, my issue is that these teams exist to the detriment of literally every other team and league in world football. The market was skewed by Abramovich. It was skewed further by Sheikh Mansour. Qatar and PSG have spoilt the French league and now Saudi Sportswashing Machine is going to skew it even further.

New rules won't mean brick, these clubs will find a way around it. Or they'll just outright break the rules with little care. I don't want Spurs to be involved with that.

But...if it were to happen, it would be incredibly difficult to just up and leave after 25 years of supporting them.

There would probably be idiot Spurs fans dressed up as Sheiks (like Saudi Sportswashing Machine idiots did) from day 1 ..

There would be a few but nowhere near as many as what the geordies did, courtesy of the fact that the further north you go the more dumb and seemingly inbred the locals appear to be.

you mean using the furlough scheme during Covid?

Didn’t mind that, lots of companies used it, that’s what it was there for

agreed with the super league decision

spending more than you make is the line for me

Exactly, its about where your own personal line is

What is that exactly? Is it moral to be paying some of these clowns the wages we do when we have hard working people on the borderline ... and in some cases these players pay themselves with offshore accounts to avoid tax.

Morals like how we got found out in covid and massively backtracked?

Morals like trying to get into the super league?

Footballs governing body is as corrupt as they want to be and we as a club are in their pocket ... morals my friend is not this game anymore m

Question and not being a wnaker as I genuinely can't recall everyones views, did you take issue with things like the Furlough Scheme, Super League and things like booking Beyonce without council approval and the impact on the locals?

Trying to move the club to Stratford is a better last argument than the last one IMO.

I’m supporting a team using a sustainable model.

I’ve found my line, others will have their own.

I wonder how many of the original concerns mentioned that people took exception too were based on moral standards or simply not liking Levy though.

If its a moral standpoint where you don't like Levy and Co because of furlough or the Superleague stance thats absolutely fine but you have to be consistent about your views IMO.

I suspect however like with most things that cash is king and these so called burning issues becomes less important to people based on success. That's then becomes less about morals.

If Sheikh Mohammed was our owner and we won two league titles and a CL, I doubt people would blink about him kidnapping his daughter or trying to have his wife killed. But if you don't get the required permission from the council for a concert it makes you Idi Amin

It's absolutely about being consistent in your views. A moral compass is one thing people should be able to uphold. It costs nothing. In the main it only costs when someone buys it from you.

In response to both, yes!!!!!

I dislike the blind spots which Levy and co have hit with regards to footballing matters, and I certainly don't think they're 100% 'clean' (I believe no-one who has amassed wealth has done so without fudging at least a few people sadly) however compared to some of the awful owners we could end up with, they're peachy creamy! I have always said the reason the Poch era/CL Final ultimately hurt so much is because we were metaphoric inches from showing you could have it all; class, unity, familialism and trophies WITHOUT massive money /blood money. My football hypocrisy would not stop me watching us were we to have an owner like that, but it would be compromised for sure.

Liverpool didn't have massive/blood money did they?

No they had ambition to win and a model and strategy to support that ambition. The went down the statistical route and fully believe in it and backed the strategy. They struck early with signings and bore the fruit of that success.

And so they should, a club of that size and history.....abject f.ucking failures this season :D

And continued to invest heavily to fill in the final pieces - keeper and centre back.

They signed VVD and Alisson within 6 months of each other and it transformed them

If we could add a top keeper and CB it could add 15-20 points to us
That's what enic could have done. Gbp800m in bank loans the balance between investments in property development, events and football performance ought to be better.

Good news is there is a silver lining... In about 30 years when the loans are paid up.

massive blood doping

and part of a dodgy transfer system inflating prices of crap players like coutinho

at least Chelsea and city are cheating in the open

- Got lucky with banks calling their loans and fudging the previous owner with the debt (if the debt hadn't been cleared Liverpool would have been fudged)
- Got smart & lucky with 2-3 sales that were massively overvalued that allowed them to invest heavily in 2-3 players that made a huge impact.
- Very questionable how their players somehow are more "intense" than anyone else in Europe (yet have cycles where they clearly aren't)
