*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United ***

4-3 . But conceding 3 at home is embarrassing. It’s not good enough. Leeds are always vulnerable at the back so no surprise we’ve scored again.

Problem is the same each week. Starting Royal is criminal. Lenglet must be injured because why bring on Sanchez. Strange decisions.

Need to see a major improvement after the WC or the calls for him to go will be loud.

Sanchez is a better attacker than he is defender. Played key passes for both goals.
I just came to make the same comment. He's actually been very good in helping us get forward. Kind of amusing that he's probably a better attacker than Dier. Better use of the ball, just really clumsy at times.

At least this is our last match and then the team will reset for after World Cup. We are in a good position for after World Cup but when we return we really need to step it up!!

Some big gaps in our first 11.

Kane, Son, Richie, Kulu, Bentancur, Romero are the right quality
Some reasonable squad players in Lenglet, Bissouma, Skipp, PEH (for the right game), Perisic, maybe Doherty

Cant realistically expect more than 2-3 (at most) in in Jan, but boy are we desperate for some more quality

Was thinking before he came on; do we actually defend better without him? Because it doesn’t seem like it…
The mistake too many fans have made is believing that our defence is decent to good and is just let down by a couple of poor players. The reality is the defence is brick, the players are poor defenders on the whole. So play Sanchez, play Dier, play Davies it doesn't really matter. They are all below the standard required.

On a good day Sanchez can look impervious as can Dier, but the very next match they can both look like league one players. Mediocre players are inconsistent performers. It is just what it is and will be until we aren't playing them.

At least we go into the break on a high note. Nice. Now let me forget about football for a month or so, maybe we can get some good players in in January.
