Slightly disappointed with that. They had one good spell where Hugo made 3-4 saves. Other than that, not much else happening although we allow them many more 25 yarders and one will go in.
Davies and Hugo been really good, Bentancur at times. The rest mediocre while Kane has been half a yard off the pace.

If only Conte wouldn't be so stubborn and play 3-5-2 people keep saying.
Find myself missing the 3-4-3. Morphs much easier into a 5-4-1 when needed, makes us more solid defending deep.
Not the only issue in this half of course. Started off looking nervous, ended up looking a bit lost for too long.

I knew they would be quicker , stronger and have more intensity than is bit my GHod , I didn't think they would be technically superior to us.
Half our team can't pass and can't control and can't play under pressure .
Kane , Son , Davies , Holberg ( this half ), Bissouma, Dier, all woeful on the ball.
Seem terrified and panicking under the pressure or the press.
Must do far far better in the second half.

We look like we're set up 532 more than 352 if you look at how often the 'wing backs' are taking up a narrow position out of possession.

Must admit i don't understand the praise he gets, he's decent, no more imho.
The only time 3-5–2 has looked good for us is when the opposition wasn’t expecting it. Last season at home to Liverpool when we had a load out due to Covid, against Brighton when we started well but their manager thought we would be playing a different formation and then changed it once he realised and then we reverted to type. Against Everton when Richarlison got injured and we had to change to thag formation.
It’s a bit of a myth that 3-5-2 is the saviour…..
