Potter has been in the PL for 2 years and has overseen 2 relegation fights, there is a growing number of Brighton fans want him gone

Allegri was joseball football, we have seen how that has worked with our fan base, plus Juve has a model of snapping up the best frees and whacking them on massive wages, not working with younger players

Brighton play very good football and Potter was successful in Sweden. That puts him above a number of other candidates. Allegri isn't Jose in terms of football style, but agreed his teams arent as attacking as some others

Again though, who would you prefer to those two?

We have options. We don' t have to look at literally 17th-place Brighton for the answers.

However, admittedly the question is who wants to work with Levy and his nickel-and-diming right now. And I assure you, that will not be as enticing a prospect as many on this board seem to believe.

Maybe Potter is enough of a Steve Hitchen-esque yes man to be that coach?

Could be face saving from all involved

Tottenham came in with an offer nobody could refuse etc. Although the photos and video interview from him make it seem like a lot of effort if that's the case.

Him or Rodgers, it would seem like we're gonna have to pay out.

Also, looks like strangely for Levy that he did sack Jose without the back up in place. Maybe he did use the ESL hype to get rid of him quietly.

I wouldn't say you "save face" exactly by signing a contract extension and then leaving. But who knows. I wouldn't hold my breath. Maybe we're going for the Wolfsburg guy instead.

Villa/Southampton play good football and have improved on last season, Brighton have gone backwards.

Dyche keeping Burnley up on a nothing budget is a massive achievement

I’m not sure there would be much of a scramble for those managers.

I dont think Levy would go for Potter anyway

whether we wanted Rodgers or ETh or not, all this makes us look pretty desperate
