I don't think I've ever 'attacked' Redknapp. If I have, I'll be more than happy to stand corrected. But for the sake of clarity here's my full opinion on Redknapp:
I think he's been a great manager for us, done a lot better than I believe was asked of him, and that EVERYONE (himself included) expected of him. However, the way we gave up 4th in 10/11 was awful. Yes, yes, I know the journey to the QF of the CL was grueling and took its toll, but he's been a football manager for 35 years, the man SHOULD know how to rotate a squad. Anyway, it wasn't a bad season. This year however, he decided to jack in the Europa League - something I disapprove of immensely (he also did this with the UEFA Cup in 08/9). And he cost us 3rd place. I remember fondly the 10 wins and a draw in 11 games, and I loved each and every second of that run. But I also remember the 1 win in 9 (or similar) and feeling like crap during that run. Expectations change. He went from turning us into genuine top 4 regulars, into a team of bottlers. Now yes, we still got 4th place, so fair enough. BUT, his season objective wasn't 4th. I highly doubt Levy said "Harry, get us top 4." He probably said "Harry, get us Champions League." Now, it is Harry's fault we didn't get CL. The objective wasn't met. He could have had 3rd sewn up by that point making the Chelsea game meaningless - he didn't. On a footballing level THAT is why I'd sack him. Failure to achieve the target two years in a row.
On a more "Why I dislike Harry Redknapp, excluding failure" point - I loathe the mans inability to be criticized and accept it, but worse than that is his inability to accept he got it wrong. Playing 4-4-2 at home to Norwich with no DM was suicide. Playing Ledley King when he KNEW he was injured and hugely off the pace was ridiculous. Saying in February that the players don't care who the manager is, and in June the it's vital the players have clarity is LAUGHABLE.
Can anyone really take this man seriously anymore?
Also, for everyone saying "Yeah, but he got us to the CL, he's clearly better than everyone before him." take a second. He had more resources and better players at his disposal than those before him. I hazard a guess that a lot of our past managers could do what he's doing, if not more.

Finally, and on a non Redknapp point (sorry mods) - I have no idea why you think I'm afan. I really don't get it. He used to bang on about Robbie Keane endlessly - I think I've mentioned him 3 times...each time it's because you brought it up. ARE YOU AFAN? Oh, I get it, it's cos my name starts with an A, right? Afan, AberYid, WHO ELSE COULD IT POSSIBLY BE?! No. Wrong again, High Horse.
Here's the thing, I like Robbie Keane as a footballer, my favourite ever Spurs goal was his equalizer in the 4-4 vs Chelsea (well, that or Tainio's in the 4-3 West Ham game). I can't help who my favourite player is, you know? You take a liking to certain people, others you take a certain disliking to - you for instance (sorry, didn't mean to bully you). You took offence when I told you that for the sake of your own reputation you should sometimes let it go. Do it again here, you're starting to look like a petulant child - again.

the reason i think its needed cause there is this idea that everyone wants harry out of here, or that those that want him out dont like him or rate him one iota etc etc

Spurs were pipped to a place in the competition by Chelsea but their manager is confident his club can still compete for players, while denying an interest in Youssouf Mulumbu
The north London club finished fourth in the Premier League only to miss out on a place in next season’s Champions League following Chelsea’s win over Bayern Munich in this season's final.
Despite this, Redknapp is confident his club can still attract top quality players.
"I think it's overrated what people say about Champions League football and whatever," he told Sky Sports News.
"People would have still gone to Chelsea if they hadn't won the Champions League this year because they know it's a club that's looking to get into the Champions League positions next year.
"They pay fantastic money. If you pay players enough money and you give them good enough contracts and you show that you're ambitious, they'll come to your club.
"Champions League football, because you don't make it one year - it's one year. I think that's an excuse for players who want to leave and get better contracts elsewhere. I don't see that as a real problem.
"I think if the contract's right and they earn enough money, Premier League football is big enough."
The 65-year-old also revealed Steven Pienaar is likely to join Everton after re-joining them on loan in January.
He added: "Steven Pienaar is a good player. I would think in all honestly he's going to want to stay at Everton. He seems to have produced his best form there. He was unlucky at Tottenham.
"He's a good player, a very very good player. It's just I had Gareth Bale playing on the left-hand side and you can't dislodge Gareth Bale. He's one of the best left-sided players in the world, without a shadow of a doubt.
"If he's going to want to stay at Everton and Everton want him then obviously the deal is going to have to be right for Tottenham, otherwise he comes back to Tottenham."
Redknapp downplayed speculation linking the club with a move for West Brom’s Youssouf Mulumbu, who has announced his intention to leave the Hawthorns.
He added: "I don't really know where that's come from, to be perfectly honest.
"That's certainly not something that I've discussed with the chairman at any time. He's a good player, for sure, but he's certainly not a player we've spoken about."

Yes - which makes it even more important to have secured CL last season because at least then we could offer it as incentive since we could never match those wages

It's not embarrassing, I can take my club being shat upon by 'The Real Special One' no problem. He got us CL football for the first time ever so he can say what he likes.
He's just back from his fortnight's holiday in Qatar so he's entitled to ring up his buddies at, Sky Sports to arrange for an interview so as to heap pressure on his Chairman for a new contract, all football managers do this.:^):mickey:8-[
