Transfer Tittle-Tattle

Where’s Toby going?
He ain’t going Roma that’s for sure as their not gonna pay more now than they could a week ago
No one has bid on eriksen or Rose either
yeah hi...read on the internet..The Sun I think reporting he had been sold to Roma.
Also said Fernandes sold to manure..why do they make it up...

Talk to me about Cheatski’s back four options

Zouma?
Cahill went?
Azpili?
The Murderer is old?
Sideshow Nob is very old now
Um, can’t remember

I don’t know how we seem to arrive at these situations but at the moment we are going into the first 2 games of the season 3 AM/forwards lighter than last year. Son, Alli, Llorente for differing reasons are u/a (I guess Llorente could still return).

So currently our AM/forward situation is:

Kane
Moura
Lamela
Eriksen (doesn’t want to be here)

Obviously Son will be back by game 3 and Parrott is showing potential but if you factor in injuries (Lamela has previous and now Alli is a concern) then we could run into issues over a 50-55 game season.

I think it’s imperative that we nail down one of these AMs this week.

But we can upgrade on Llorente but putting a piece of concrete on the pitch as if would move faster...

We have enough AMs... we have 2 for every position don’t we. You can’t plan for injuries like we had last season for example but Alli has clearly got an issue that needs fixing

Sons suspension is what it is and can’t be helped now

We are still relying on not picking up many injuries and with Lamela/Winks/Wanyama/Alli picking up injuries with ease recently its a risk.

I still think we need a Zaha type, someone that can lead the line or play as a AM

I’m not saying we can plan for injuries. What I am saying is that they will almost certainly arrive and sometimes in clusters - Then you have the Eriksen factor on top. I think he’ll give 100% this season - but there’s no guarantee as to how it will pan out.

I’d just like to have one more top class player in those areas who’s fit and on a long contract.

I’d rather have players staying fit and fresh and only playing 40/55 games than players overdoing it and playing 50/55 games.

Not to mention Kane (I actually think it’s just freak that he’s done that same thing every year - it’s not like a constant muscular issue)....and also Son seems so miss a few due to international/travel commitments.

Why can - never hit double figures in his life Zaha - lead the line, but - regular 20 goals a season Son - not?

I like it shutting this week. It really doesnt need to go on longer, and does help settle teams down for the season.

Its not ideal that other windows carry on past ours, but its hardly the end of the world IMO.

Well worth having it set Thursday night with the season starting Saturday. We know our squad from day 1.

After all the talk of changing the way we do things and having money to spend etc. Do you think Poch has the right to be disappointed so far or is it just the way football is nowadays, big money transfers dragging on over installments and add-ons.

Do you think Levy has tried harder to nail down transfer targets this summer but has just been messed around buy selling clubs, or has it been more of the same?

I think its naive for people to expect us to knock out massive transfers quickly and easily, its never going to work that way.

I think Levy has done his best. And I think its like people forget, but NDombele was excellent work on his part. THE most key buy we needed, in early, having dealt with the French Levy. If he can pull that off, I have no doubt if other moves dont happen its not for his lack of effort.

Both Fulham and Betis are showing - clubs are making ridiculous demands for players. We arent Utd, we dont just cough up extra tens of millions, we cant.

If you believe reports Poch has turned down four players where the club had reached agreements. I think it's a combination of Poch being dead set on his targets this window, Levy being a shrewd negotiator and selling clubs acting like utter clams.

The Ndombele deal gives me confidence that we'll see more players come in before the window closes. We'll have fall backs in place if the Lo Celso deal completely dies.

I would guess we'll see Sessegnon and Lo Celso in with Fernandes arriving if we sell Eriksen.
