The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

It's not an opinion either. It's a fact.
I don't know the rule, but the Liverpool Broadcasting Corporation are claiming it would only have been a booking:

Looks like maybe Trent Alexander-Arnold should have been booked, but not sent off.

This is from the FA's rulebook...

"If the referee plays the advantage for an offence for which a caution / send off would have been issued had play been stopped, this caution / send off must be issued when the ball is next out of play, except for the denial of an obvious goal-scoring opportunity when the player is cautioned for unsporting behaviour."

But then again they would say that.

Wolves are now four points up on Everton for seventh with just the one game to go. Does this mean Everton can't make it into Europa League with a win next weekend? Or is their some byzantine manner in which they can get in?

Just thinking that if they have nothing to play for, it can't hurt our chances. Of course, I thought that earlier today as the Bournemouth game kicked off.

If that's the case, then the FA have different rules to every other footballing nation. Wouldn't surprise me though. But the incompetent Marriner didn't even book him, and wouldn't have awarded a penalty if they hadn't scored. He's there to help Liverpool, but couldn't find a way to disallow the goal.

I know, but hoping they'll eventually run out of luck. Has to happen some time...
Won't be today though, the order will have gone out already and Marriner will be itching to toot his Acme Thunderer.

No doubt if Liverpool don't win the title or CL, they'll blame not having their talisman striker for 2 games and 20 minutes.

Hate to see any player seriously injured. But, yeah, karma and all that.

Had to laugh when the camera cut away from his treatment to show Klopp making an animated speech to Daniel Sturridge who looked like he was barely listening as he patiently swigged his water.

They now have fudging Sturridge and Origi leading the line - and the crazy thing is that you would still be shocked, if they dont win it.

Perhaps the resident experts on here can clarify whether or not Salah suffered a concussion. :D:p

Firminio ...gone Salah...gone...hmmmm things a bit trickier without them?

Wonder what it would be like for us if Kane Sonny and maybe Dele were not available:rolleyes:
