Summer 2018 transfer thread

I wouldn't get your hopes up, Celtic/Scots players always go to Pool or Utd so they can pop home for Irn Bru and Buckfast

He's had plenty of games where he hasn't been a liability it's just the mistakes he has made have been punished which means they stick in the mind more, personally id say I've seen a lot more from Aurier this season than i did from Sissoko in his first season.

Isn't that the problem though, they stick in the mind because they were at crucial times in big games not when we were already home and dry. Seems more like a sign of mentality. Penalties conceded against Real, Juve and Brighton all when in good positions that led to us dropping points or putting us in a bad position. Sent off against West Ham away. And still continually goes to ground with rash tackles. He does have good games but I think he's the type of defender who makes other players nervous and that unsettles the rest of the defence and team. Big decision to make if we think they're settling in pains or something that will continue.

Did he also play like this at PSG? People said he was Walker with the crossing ability of Trippier - he has a bit of pace but not much, awful positioning and is an average crosser.

That brighton game for me he was very good. His one mistake was getting caught out by a player making a good speculative run falling Over his own feet... Walker has done that many times and more.

Walker this season has cost city as many goals and more as Aurier

What concerns me with airier is his attacking threat is bang average at best and that was something I thiught he would bring to the party

I dont have and have never had facebook.

But we do not need a newly brought shirt we need to get one that is already in the closet and where it, while selling the new shirt on ebay and putting the money towards a quality shirt.

I can give you some examples of players that wouldn't have been here today if our coaches have applied the same impatient mindset as you: Llorris, Vertonghen, Son, Dembele, Davies etc..

There is a good footballer insider Aurier, otherwise he wouldn't have reach this level. But you refuse to accept that, because you have already decided that he is brick and you will never change your mind.

If he is good enough for playing for Spurs is a completely different story, but at least give Poch some to find out. And the history has proven than less than one season is not enough time for Poch.

Tottenham transfer EXCLUSIVE: Christian Eriksen wanted in £100m mega deal

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are ready to make a £100million move for Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen this summer.

The French champions have singled out the Danish international star as one of the men they want to rebuild their midfield for a successful Champions League campaign next summer under incoming coach Thomas Tuchel.

Eriksen, 26, has been an increasingly important player for Spurs for five years now and they are desperate to hang on to a player who has forged a formidable relationship with Harry Kane.

He has scored 14 goals this season and produced 10 assists in one of his best campaigns yet but once again the White Hart Lane club have missed out on major honours, though they look sure to finish in the top four.

Tuchel, the former Borussia Dortmund coach, is set to take over in Paris this summer after Unai Emery announced that he was leaving the Qatar-owned club at the end of this campaign, having won the title again, but losing to Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Eriksen has been rated as a player at the same level as title winning Emirates Marketing Project duo Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva by his club manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Dane joined Tottenham from Ajax in 2013 for a £12.5m fee.

He boasts over 160 league starts for the north London club and has taken on a prominent role in the side over the past two seasons.

Eriksen boasts 17 goals for club and country this season, with three crucial strikes in Denmark’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

Christian Eriksen could be one of the big stars of the 2018 World Cup

This summer’s tournament in Russia could act as a shop window for some of the planet’s biggest stars, with Eriksen tipped to catch the eye.

PSG landed Neymar in a £200m deal last summer and will pay Monaco roughly £150m to permanently sign loanee Kylian Mbappe in July.

However, the mega-rich club are still without that elusive Champions League honour and Eriksen has been earmarked as a target capable to helping them to that goal.

Lemina focused on Southampton's survival, not transfer talk
Mario Lemina is focused on saving Southampton from relegation to the Championship, not transfer talk, with a host of clubs expected to bid for the former Juventus star if Saints fail to avoid the drop.

“The club have given me everything to perform and I need to give back with all my heart to win the last three games,” Lemina told the Daily Echo. “When you join a team I don’t think you can expect to try to fight to save yourself...

“We don’t talk about ourselves, we talk about the club and we just have to save the club.

“After everyone can make a decision to stay or leave. This is not my problem, my only problem is to win the last few games and save the team. We have to save the club because it deserves to stay in the Premier League.”

Linked with him in Jan, interesting the transfer talk has already started. While he hasnt been great at SCBC he looked good in the videos I saw, I can see why we may have been interested...

I think he has been awful but people seem to think he is great... maybe I’ve missed something

From what I can tell its a potential thing.

If you look at highlights of him at Marseille (under Biesla) and Juventus you can see the makings of a top quality CM, and potential Dembele successor.

Of course, theres no telling if he will ever reach that level, but the signs are there that he could be special.

At SCBC they have had a nightmare season, just as he joined. It could easily be that he is struggling to acclimate under a struggling team and multiple managers, and that as he settles he will really start to thrive.

Alternatively, of course, he could just be a bit brick

For all these suggestions, we need one player who will take us to another level... can't decide if that is Bale or Zaha???

I like Zaha but he is not a player who would take us to the next level next season. Who would we drop from the first team for him? I would see him as improving our back up/rotation options.
