As long as there's money to be made you'll get brick like this. People, as in the general public, don't LISTEN to music any more, they just want be part of the latest fad.
 
This actually appeals to my dodgy 80s/90s Top of the Pops bad video lust. It made me smile.
 
The stream I watched for our game on Saturday showed some MTV channel between matches and halves and every single video included some teens hanging out with their friends and horrendous amounts of autotune.
 
I think people just find it hilarious, the stupid dancing, funny clothes and cheesy video. It's a bit like watching eurovision for a giggle.

Definitely not the worst song ever, Mr Blobby, crazy frog, Paradise by coldplay. There's loads that are worse!
 
i absolutely love it

it's not my usual thing at all, but i'm addicted to it, and the parody vids, the klingon style one is probably my favourite, although the power rangers one is hilarious as well

apparently its also a cutting social statement on Korean youth

Hating novelty records is pointless. Something really bad that the writers thought was good is far more contemptible particularly if it revered. Bohemian Rhapsody would be right up there for me; a cut and shut job with several brick songs clumsily welded together. I can't begin to describe how much I hate it.
