We have just put the pressure on ourselves.

After building up the side of the draw as being easier anything but a semi final should be seen as failure

A game that didn't matter to either team played in a way that no-one wanted to win. 8 changes and 9 changes from their last games showed how important it was.

That said we were appaling, Vardy, Delph and Dier were anonymous most of the game. Rose must start instead of Young now as must Rashford for Sterling. Can't see any other changes from the previous two games.

It's a mixed bag. A second round against Japan would have made a QF a likely result, i.e. a par performance. Now we have a tougher game but the prospects of a second semifinal in half a century are much higher.

Highsight will determine how the result is ranked. Lose to Colombia and it was a bad mistake, reach the semi-final and it was genius.

In his WC minutes he has got up the pitch quickly and turned the opposition towards their own goal.

Very little competition in the midfield, even less if Alli isn’t fit.

Bit has he delivered or created anything?
Nothing of note today or vs Panama IMO (assuming your referring to RLC)

There were some nice possession phases today where we passed through the lines. RLC, Rashford and Alexander-Arnold rotated nicely and created some good opportunities. The difference between having Rose available to just go down the outside of a man and Young cutting in was night and day. Some of those passes down the outside to Rashford were very nice.

+1 to those who have already said it, but Rashford and Rose to be moved in. Those two gave us a lot more than their counterparts. Dele probably will have to wait to take his chance as I see RLC as having replaced him. RLC may not have the silk that Dele possesses, but he's probably a more balanced player for that spot.
