Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Another single, "Wig Wam Bam", (featuring Barton, Gibb and Michael) reached No. 63 in the UK chart,[2] but "Viva La Mexico", which was released to capitalise on the 1986 FIFA World Cup football competition, flopped when England were knocked out. Black Lace (Barton and Michael) appeared as themselves in the 1987 film Rita, Sue and Bob Too performing "Gang Bang", which had been recorded by Barton and Gibb the previous year. The pair were also immortalised as caricatures in the TV show Spitting Image and the hit single "The Chicken Song". The band had a UK hit with their album Party Crazy.[2]

Might not be easy to find due to the nature of the song.

To tune above,

We’re having an ange bang,
We're having a ball,
You're getting an ange bang,
You can't get the ball,
We're having an ange bang,
Don’t worry we'll still win fudge all.

Question for those familiar with Ange’s style of play. From what I understand he plays with a specialist sitting DM. Who in our squad is best suited to that role? Bentancur, Bissouma, Skipp are more box to box. PEH isn’t suited for that. Sarr would be great but it’s too soon.

I guess we’ll have to play Bissouma there but it seems a waste as he’s useful upfield and has a great long shot.

The sitting person is a passer

I think Ange will have to play some sort of wonky, because we have a few square pegs. Or maybe octagonal pegs that just need a bash.
E.g. if our full backs were Udogie and Royal then Udogie would have licence to bomb forwards whereas Royal would hold back, and then the midfield would shift around to accommodate e.g. someone would cover the hole in our left side and someone else from midfield would keep aware and slide across as well if Udogie is up front marauding.
Whereas if Davies was left back we could keep both full backs deeper and have a different midfield.
Or whatever, you get my drift, if one or both full backs is playing more attacking then the midfield would need to be very aware of it and compensate, whereas if both full backs are primarily defensive the midfield can be more expansive.

Davies can't be the FB, he's no longer physically capable of playing the role.

It's interesting where he goes from here, he's done pretty well playing the LCB role of a three, but how well can he play as the actual left CB in a pairing?

Davies will be fine in a back 4. It's wide in a 5 he can't do.

I quite like the balance of Davies and Royal as defensive options, and Spence and Udogie as offensive ones, and potentially mixing and matching across those 4, depending on the opposition.
