Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

So you haven’t been to Anfield under the lights in a champions league game?
I have been to Anfield to see Spurs on several occasions, and I have found it one of the quietest stadiums I have visited. They make make twice as much noise at Palace. Anfield is like Spurs, full of tourists middle class families, it's just the middle class people of Liverpool will pick your pockets

Classy. Is that one of the songs you liked singing in the 70s?
It's actually a very funny joke. Funny songs were being sung right through the 90s until our friend Sol Campbell moaned about the one we sung about him. That drew a line in the sand, and all we sing now is an adapted Southampton song, and some supporters sing an Ange song (I don't).

I was in the away end at Portsmouth when he joined them and actually turned up for a game.

The simple answer is a scarf over your mouth - then you can sing what you like about him.

Another dreadful performance. What worries me is that we could have lost that game in the 90th minute and we would still have had supporters singing Ange's praises

I would sing Ange praise no matter what mate. I love him more than the day he walked thorugh the door. We have a new identity. We play attractive football. Look at Mourinho and Conte. I liked Antonio, he gave us as shower on what we needed, but it was Ange that actually took what we had and wanted to change something. No fault the players are not good enough for his style. That is Levy's fault. Ange brings a top team style of play. He sticks to it. Problem is some of our players are not for the top teams. If we go back to playing to our "strenghts", we take a step back.

Yeah, typically I don't evaluate (or reevaluate) a manager on a single game, result or performance.

Just like you seemingly didn't based on the Liverpool game.

Hope this brings and end to Werner's time at our team. Send him back and bring someone from Bayern în. They've been looking to offload, can't be worse than Werner.
You realise Ange is here because of Levy, and Werner is here because of Ange?

I do, quite regularly.

Ange is the perfect manager if you enjoy supporting a team that will lose most of it's games. His record so far has been dreadful. Purely from a character perspective, I find him unlikeable, arrogant, and stubborn. It's now got to the point I can't bare to watch his interviews

I'm the same as you, and that's why I think he is useless. Just have a look at his record after the first 10 games of last season, it's dreadful

He had us close to top 5 until the injuries got ridiculous this season. We had some poor performances and results, but mostly the issue was consistency.

If you've decided that he's useless there's really no point in discussion, we just see things very differently. The only thing that will change either of our minds will be results and performances over time. Again back to the point that looking at an individual game for changes in opinions is rather futile.

Were there many of our managers over the last 30 years that you did like?
