Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

With the history of allegations made against wealthy footballers people should wait until everything is made public in a court of law.
Different case as it never went to court but didn't some get flustered when we signed Biss.

I for one was uncomfortable with us signing someone still under investigation for sexual assault.

Perhaps I'm reading some of these previous posts wrongly but why are some invoving Vinae with this Partey case ?
Think it was me who first raised the fact that he was CEO of Woolwich when Partey was arrested, and I said the decision to keep playing him was not "a good look", on the presumption that being CEO he would have had knowledge of the situation and involvement in the decision.

100% agree it starts with us fathers telling our sons not to be violent especially to there sisters & women in general. My dad drilled it into his 4 sons don't you ever lay a finger on a woman. He was a policeman all his working life I guess he witnessed domestic violence first hand. Men not so much his 4 sons felt his anger on a regular basis made us tough apparently.
Sorry to hear that about your experience (assuming I read your post correctly).

Anger from parents towards sons as a good way toughen them up is for me another one of those issues I wish more people would speak up about loudly and clearly and without deflections.

I'll be clear, I would have been the same towards Biss. This is not a partisan issue.

I don't disagree, in principle, with wait until the court case but - 1) this is also a workplace issue, allegations of this sort would result in Police officers being taken off public facing duties, I suspect other professionals such as Doctors and nurse too.
2) these are multiple counts of rape and sexual assault from different people. I don't like to make it seem like there is a hierarchy of seriousness with sexual assault allegations, but there is more risk involved in this case imho.

And from what I was told we did a hell of alot of due diligence on the Biss situation and spoke to all legal trams and authorities.

So should Brighton have stopped stopped Biss from playing whilst the allegations were investigated , he was arrested by Police went out on bail and continued to play football.

Bissouma, 25, was arrested after a woman reported being sexually assaulted at The Arch nightclub in Brighton in October last year.

The midfielder, who signed for Tottenham this summer, was released on bail and continuted to play for Brighton.

What I never reconciled on this one was what happened to the guy in his 40's that got arrested alongside Yves. It was implied by the media at the time that he was main perpetrator and Bissouma was keeping the wrong company. I never really ever heard whether the other guy got convicted or cleared.

This one isolated incident seems very different from the other cases whether there are multiple incidences in the way they are reported e.g. Partey.

We are obviously at the behest of the media in the way we piece together the stories.

Mods this doesn't belong here but I am replying to @braineclipse if you want me to delete & post somewhere else let me know

So I very rarely talk about my father because he was aggressive & violent until I turned 16. My father said it was about making us tough for the big bad world. At the age of 7 he took me boxing & made me fight a nine year old I got smashed yes that will toughen me up. in reality he couldn't leave his work at the door. as soon as he arrived home we would all disappear to our rooms & stay quiet. He didn't even eat with us we'd eat in the kitchen with the door closed he'd eat with my mum & sister playing happy families. The women in his life could never do any wrong. You had to live by his rules problem was only he knew the rules. None of my friends ever came to my house they were all to scared. It all stopped when I was 16 he punched me this time I returned serve then it was on for young & old. It is my biggest regret & something I will never forgive myself for. My old man was the meanest toughest man I've ever met & he succeeded in making his 3 sons the complete opposite of him.

The thing is I never met his parents even though they were alive because my father refused to talk to them. I assume he got the same treatment from his father. Luckily the three of us broke that chain

At my mother's funeral my eldest brother confronted my father his response I made you tough so you could survive this world. My brother pointed out that was a load of gonads & did he regret that he no relationship with his son's he replied that's your problem not mine. At his own funeral only my sister went. I wish I had buried the hatchet & told him despite everything we had been through he was still my father he had done the right thing by my mum & sister & for that I loved him

Fathers can really fudge you up.

As I understood it…. And I was told this in Brighton in the bar/club it happened in …
Biss and some mates were in there
Some ladies joined them
Biss”s mate (some say uncle) put his hand up a ladies skirt. She rightly reported him and the staff did the right thing by contacting police, sharing video etc…
Biss was sat next to him hence why there wasn’t clarity as to who did it
This is the palate who was inhaling gas not that long ago
