Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

A lot of LFC fans I know are fully aware this season is going to be tough for them. It is just those few that don't agree that are far more vocal.
Absolutely none of the LFC fans I know think that. They genuinely think they are on the same level as Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern München....
My GHod I look forward to seeing them get wiped off the floor by RM!!!

Same with the ones I know too, they are back at the very top echelon of football apparently...

It's the minority that are like that for me, but like I said they are far more vocal. People I worked with 6 years ago start messaging me, forgetting that I remember they weren't Liverpool fans when I knew them. But that should be a reflection of them as people, not every fan at the club.

My close friends Kopites are all pretty down to earth and even when they have beaten us over the last few seasons, they tend not to gloat. That could be, I suppose, because they aren't that pre-occupied with Spurs. Man United are their main focus every year, then Chelsea now Mourinho is back and Everton for two weeks a season.

@BBCSporf: FACT: Liverpool's performance summed up in one picture.

not so great when you sell your best player and buy lots of new players is it?

didn't the oracle of Mel-wood say 'we wont do a spurs'

still they pumped us good and proper so I hope their woes continue, cant believe they got spammed!

They won't do a Spurs as they won't qualify for Europe.

In 6 games this season Liverpool have been beaten on 3 occasions, played poorly and got fortunate wins twice and were absolutely world class in the other.....how's your luck eh!

To be fair they have won the champions league/European cup 3 more times than we've even been it. If we'd won it 5 times we'd like we belonged in it too.

Did anyone just see Sunday brunch? I'm almost speechless, so excuse the potentially non-sensical rant..

Interviewing a psychologist Liverpool fan and he actually went on to say how he applauds Liverpool fans because they're basically better than other fans as they didn't boo the Southampton coach as it pulled in to anfield and because they sung you'll never walk alone in the last minute of the last game if the season!!

Like no other fans would be polite to a team that they have absolutely zero rivalry with from the other end of the country, or sing they're club song in the last game of the best season they've had for 25 years?!?

What an absolute c u n t, just nailed every fan stereotype of Liverpool there!

Let's hope this is the start of something more - much more - to come. Could this be the speculative, unsettling media story of the season - and next summer?

Real Madrid plot Raheem Sterling transfer from Liverpool as new contract fails to materialise

The teenage forward has become a key player for the Kop club and England but his £30,000-a-week deal makes him one of the lowest paid in both squads

Real Madrid are stepping up their efforts to sign Raheem Sterling next summer.

The Spanish giants' coach Carlo Ancelotti has put the Liverpool star on top of his hit-list after his stunning form for club and country.

Real have been alerted by the fact that the Reds have yet to tie down Sterling to a long-term contract, and are ready to move for him.

Liverpool appear to be dragging their feet on putting together a new deal for Sterling and that will give foreign clubs major encouragement.

The 19-year-old is currently on a £30,000-a-week package that expires in 2017, and the Kop club were expected to reward his progress with a new deal.

We revealed in April that he was in line for an improved contract after his impressive form for Liverpool, which helped force his way into England’s World Cup set-up.

He is currently one of the lower earners in the Liverpool set-up - and his deal is dwarfed by those of almost all of his England team-mates.

But the Reds' boss Brendan Rodgers last month insisted Sterling must wait for a new deal - and that has encouraged the men from the Bernabeu.

Rodgers said: “When you reward young players too quickly – Raheem’s still only 19 – you give them too much too early and that will be their downfall. It’s a big problem because they lose their hunger.”

Liverpool will be anxious not to lose one of their prize assets but the contract will be a concern with big clubs hovering.

Real have cash to spend after selling Angel Di Maria to Manchester United for a British record £59.7million, and have also seen Gareth Bale become a huge success as a Premier League export in Spain since signing him from Tottenham in summer 2013.

The Welshman has even encouraged Sterling to join him at the European champions.

Bale said last week: “If you look at Raheem Sterling, I think he’s shown what a good player he is. He’s starting to perform more consistently.

“If he keeps working hard and doing what he’s doing, then he’s going to keep progressing and the sky is his limit.”

lol, got him tapping up already!

can't see him being madrid level quite yet but he could well be a couple of years from now

Under investigation for breaching FFP rules to the tune of 55m if reports are true!

Sounds like they've got some sort of "commercial deals" that offset the loss though! No idea why they are not considered in the accts already if they're legit?
