Bissouma too can be progressive, more so with dribbling than passing. But both lack too much to be the primary creative force deep in midfield. Even more so as we have shortcomings in that regard elsewhere as well.

I think Frank will want to evaluate the squad first hand before doing much. Its not like we've got big gaps or require major surgery. It would be nice at least to get Gil and Solomon out the door before pre-season starts though

We have some rather large gaps in terms of quality. I don't know how good you think this side is but if the aim is ultimately challenging for the league then yes there are massive gaps. Even top 8 is going to be an ask imo but one that I think is achievable but far from a forgone conclusion.

Would be the most epic comeback of all time if Frank could get Gil firing. Not gonna happen, obviously, but there is a player in there, if he can stand on his feet.

I think we'll tinkle top 6 as we are now, maybe even as high as 3rd. There's such low hanging fruit to get this squad performing.

RW and CF are the two positions that concern me quality wise. We def need competition for Johnson. And one of Solanke or Richy to really hit top stride.

We want/need to give Frank as much advantages as we can going into season, yes squad doesn't need major surgery but if we could get a top level player in, especially if they could do the tour and be ready for Aug 13th?

We have a cup to win in his first competitive game.

But even if they don’t do the tour they are likely to be joining us in a similar fitness level to our own players
