Interestingly Son would have been an ideal player for Pep, that left side player than could float inside, be provider or scorer. But yes, for 100M-ish, Kane or Son would have been a much better option for City (and Kane would have saved them a ton on Haaland).

I dont think Son is a Pep player, doesn't have the short game. Devastating on the break. Pep doesn't like long shots either.

Son is far from an ideal player for Pep, not many further from it. Son was at his best with space running at defences, Pep wants players that can recycle the ball, play quick short passes to open up defences and get in behind, not what Son is good at.
