We have been excellent in the CL this season. But our domestic form have not been very consistent this season, especially at Wembley. After the brilliant win over Liverpool, we have lost 3 of the 4 matches in the league and League Cup since then. In fact, we have only scored 1 goal in the last 3 league matches. We badly need to improve our league form if we want to stay in the title race. WBA used to be our jinx team as we have only won 1 of our last 5 matches against them at home. But we did beat them convincingly at home last season. Let's hope we will get another win here.
Kane has not been in good form since coming back from injury. He did score the crucial goal against Dortmund. Also, Kane seems to enjoy scoring against WBA as he has scored 6 goals against them including the hattrick against them last season. Let's hope he will get back his goal scoring form in this match. Our other goal scorers like Alli, Son and Eriksen have not been consistent this season. They need to be more clinical in front of goal on a consistent basis. Eriksen has scored 3 goals against WBA while Alli has 2 goals against them in the past. It will help us greatly if they can score again in this match.
Our midfield have not been consistent this season due to injury problems to our main players like Wanyama and Dembele. Winks has been improving in recent matches but he still needs more time to become a reliable midfielder like Wanyama. Thought Sissoko will step up his game this season but he has been too inconsistent. He still lacks the finishing touches despite having good dribbling skills and run. We have badly missed the work rate and tenacity of Lamela in midfield as well. Wish Lamela can play a part in this match or at least be a part of our reserves. We also need Eriksen to contribute more assists and goals for us.
Our defence have only kept 1 clean sheet in our last 8 matches in all competitions. With due respect to WBA, it will be disappointing if we don't keep the clean sheet in this match. Too bad Alderweireld is still out injured. We miss his composure and leadership in defence. Sanchez and Dier have done well in defence in recent matches but they need to avoid making mistakes. Hope they will continue their good work.
Forget about our poor record against the top 6 teams away. We need to get maximum points against the rest of the teams like WBA. We need to be beating teams like WBA if we want to stay in the title race. Hope we will do just that by beating WBA comfortably.

After the disappointing defeat to Arsenal last week, we need a good perfomance and result against WBA to lift our league form. Can see WBA playing defensively against us. We need an early goal to help us settle down and then go for more goals to kill them off. Let's hope we will turn up with the right team and mentality to beat WBA and stay in touch with the teams above us.
