Big game for Johnson. Frank has shown by his selections that Johnson scoring goals alone isn't a big enough of a contribution to merit a place in the team. So be interesting to see what he serves up.

The midfield duo of Palhinha and Bentancur refuse to pass forwards.
Thus Xavi is entirely isolated and won't get a sniff.
Thus we need the flanks to prosper, and we have Spence and Johnson down the left, dear me!
We'll have to play a massive wonky to maybe get Johnson up front with Muani and Xavi out left, rather than being an island. Hmm.

In the press conference Frank is asked about the Berg/Sarr/Gray midfield; he says he is very happy with "Joao and Rodri" and they do the things he is looking for but perhaps others are looking for other things, then he talks about the make up of the front 4. So it seems he sees the front 4 as a very separate entity to the midfield block.
He also says we did not have the right intensity against Villa and that he is definitely sure we will have the right intensity vs Everton, then says he wants to play with high intensity and aggressiveness and physicality.
Then when asked 5 minutes ago on Spurs Play he said he is 1000% sure we will play with the right intensity.
So these are his main aims right now. After that, we can play free-flowing football.
