****Tottenham Hotspur v BVB********* OMT Official

Genuine wtf game

- Some interesting things from Frank with Spence in LW, the kind of 3atb system (as @DubaiSpur called), players switching sides, a flexibility we haven't seen before.
- Some of the frustration stuff, the Gray/Bergvall pivot worked, as we saw early in season and he refuses to use unless forced. And the 2nd half retreat against 10 men (some leeway as we didn't really have subs, so some thought must have been to conserve energy but it's that tendency to play negative even in a game where being front foot has shown you how much better you can be)

Some players stood up and showed both quality and attitude
- Romero seems to be convinced he can drag the side to success by himself, captain performance
- How the fudge Porro can still run like that, put in quality balls, interchange with Odobert after playing almost every minute this season?
- Pivot worked, Xavi was everywhere, Odobert and Spence cooked their FBs, Solanke looked the part (obviously not fit)

Some stuff showed the negative
- We need to just not bother with RKM under Frank, doesn't want to be here, no doubt there is a player talent wise but comes across very Ndombele (and that's one of the bigger insults I can think of for a player)
- If we really intend to play around at back, Vic isn't the guy

No game in Europe is easy, everyone was quick to brick on our results against Bodo/Glimt, they just beat City, Dortmund isn't brick.
- CL is the easiest game to motivate players for (especially if they know they aren't going to have it next season), fan atmosphere tends to be good as well for European nights.

- Footnote for Byfield, always good to see one of the academy kids get some time on the big stage.

Job done, win at Frankfurt and top 8 in CL is ours, bring on the week-end

It's a brick place to go, I agree. My feet are still fudging freezing from watching us struggle for 120 minutes in the Carling Cup semi final up there in 2009.

But their home form is woeful. If we don't have any confidence of beating lowly old Burnley then our expectations have absolutely plummeted.

Tbh I haven't paid much attention to their form, it looks as good as ours, it certainly looks a game we should be confident in getting something from.

The fact that we’re second in away results and 17th in home results is quite strong evidence to me that the toxic home atmosphere is contributing to our poor results.
From the telly the atmosphere sounded superb yesterday, so I think you have a point.

Hopfully a good result on the weekend means we can recreate that atmosphere against City, who will undoubtedly fear the Christian Romero Team.

And here's a thought; perhaps the clams who urged fans to boo on social media before the match, made proper fans more eager to make positive noise and back the team?

It's interesting it seems like a lot of people missed this game. I was fortunate enough to actually be at the stadium for a game that at least for me was one of if not the best performance this season.
