Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Holiday time games, especially against B/C category teams is regularly a tourist session now.

Lots of members clearly selling tickets, huge amount of first timers (lost, taking pictures, can't find their seat), mostly American or Korean, occasional Aussie popping up as well.

No issue with it, but sometimes does affect atmosphere, quieter Sunday ...
Sunday was by far the most Koreans I have seen at the new stadium since it opened

still no news on a sponsor? its not that im desperate for one. But the extra revenue would be good. Its been a while now.

Also pie in the sky thinking. But if they decide not to get a sponsor at all. At least then they could name the stadium White Hart Lane.

It's called the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Seems a part of the reason we haven't got a sponsor. Is because they feel that advertising the Tottenham Hotspur brand around the world is worth more than what sponsors are offering.

I'm sure if someone offered us enough money we would consider it, but it would need to outweigh the benefits of having our name plastered everywhere when there are other events on.

We need to use Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Euros. Not sure if that will have put some people off.

nope.

For me the naming of the stadium as it currently is was supposed to be temporary. Levy always wanted a Sponsor. But the more its dragged on the more we have got used to or not that name.

if its true that we are getting more from it being branded that way then good. I suppose my point was that I dont want it to keep changing and as I said that name was temporary at the time.

I had a good example of what you are talking about just earlier. On my Forum for my NFL team they are all saying Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. So I guess. Its working.

So if its staying as that. All good.

If someone comes in with a good price we'll change the name. You also have to consider if someone like the qataris buy the club, they can rename it. A way to get around ffp.

Not just "someone". The club has already turned down several "someone", as those didn't align with what the club wants. It has to be right on many levels, including values, moraly, financial etc. There aren't a lot to choose from in the category Levy wants. And I'm very happy that he won't just accept whoever comes in with most money.
I'd be devastated if the stadium suddenly became the "Pokerchips 365bet casino gambling whateverthefudge stadium"!

Not sure if already discussed but some rumours going around we banked £33m from the 5 Beyonce concerts.

Any chance that is accurate?

Also I read an Athletic piece last week that said non football related income won’t be shown in our accounts. If this is true its a bit of a shame not to be able to see the full picture.

Revenue wise…that seems extreme to
Drinks for events are higher for a start
But we wouldn’t get ticket revenue
The promoter hires the venue
We would get food and drink income but the key of course is income vs actual cost
We have a massive issue in football of people getting turnover mixed with actual money to spend (the end profit)

At a guess… and it’s a guess I’d say we may make £1-2M per concert
Last year there was 7 so I’d assume we maybe made £10m profit

The gross ticket revenue for the 5 concerts were $38,986,169 from 240,330 ticket sales.

However, as @Bedfordspurs says the promoter (Live Nation) receives the ticket revenue, and will pay the artist, venue hire, etc from that.
